    useful info

    Difficulty of Everest View Trek

Nevertheless, the Everest View Trek is rated as easy to moderate, so any traveller can do it regardless of age and physical condition. Although no prior experience in trekking is necessary, it does help if one is reasonably fit.

The trek takes several hours to complete, as it is mainly a trail through rocky terrains with steep slopes and drop-offs, but it could be more rigorous. The most elevated point we reach is about 3,860 meters (12,664 feet) at Tengboche, where AMS might be experienced to a certain degree.

Tourists are encouraged to prepare well, including having the right altitude strength and preparing correctly, which includes adequate hydration.

    Fitness Level, Medical, and Health

Cardiovascular exercises like running, walking, and hiking are also suggested to develop strength and endurance. People with heart problems, lung problems, or high blood pressure should seek guidance from a healthcare provider before undertaking a trek. It is also good to ask and research the challenges the trek will likely offer.

Altitude Sickness in Everest View Trek

Possible signs of intolerance are headaches, nausea and dizziness. The gradual ascent of the Everest View Trek will help to minimize the possibility of a highly vulnerable position to altitude sickness.

Trekkers must cautiously monitor their health and inform their guide if they notice any signs of illness. Drinking plenty of water and being consistent with resting days are also very important for acclimatization.

    Everest View Trek Experience

The trek presents the scenic beauties of some high peaks, such as Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The trekkers will also get an insight into the surrounding Sherpa culture embodied in the monasteries, villages, and local people.

Other notable destinations are the Tengboche Monastery and the Hotel Everest View, which has the best shots of photographing the mountain. Such an encounter with the locals and understanding of the lifestyle prevailing in the Khumbu region adds a lot to the overall experience.

To avoid health complications along the trail, it is recommended that they always have a first-aid kit and share any medical conditions with the support team before the trek.

    Special Training

Specialized training is optional, but health and fitness and some prior information about trekking will be an added advantage.

Cardiovascular fitness and viewing or reading content about the trek can be helpful mentally and physically. Familiarizing oneself with the area and the general difficulties of trekking in any mountainous region can add to an enjoyable experience.

Best Time for Everest View Trek

The recommended seasons for the Everest View Trek are spring and autumn, from March to May and September to November, respectively. These seasons propose good weather with clear skies and reasonable temperatures, which are appropriate for trekking.

The climatic conditions, the rainy season from June to August and the winter from December to February, may involve heavy rainfall and snow, respectively, affecting trekking activities.

    Everest View Trek Weather

Climate can be changeable throughout the year. In the trekking season, the daytime averages about 15-20 degrees Celsius, while the nighttime temperatures can hover around -14 degrees Celsius.

The climate in the Himalayas is changeable; therefore, the weather in the area may be unpredictable during a trekking tour.

    Permits for Everest View Trek

Trekkers need two permits for the Everest View Trek. The other two official documents are the Sagarmatha National Park entry permit authorities and the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit.

    Accommodation During Everest View Trek

Since we will be tracing the route of the famous Everest base camp, accommodation will not be an issue during Everest View Trek. There are many great hotels in Namche Bazaar. In Kathmandu, we will stay in a luxurious three-star hotel, and during the trek, we also have some pretty good guests to stay with. Even in such a remote landscape, you will find a room with great facilities. They will have good mattresses and blankets, so you do not need to carry your sleeping bag. You can also get charging pods and a hot shower in the room. Furthermore, you can also have a good Wi-Fi connection and a tower on your cell phone during the trek, giving you the best view of Everest. These are not the facilities you can expect in the mountains if you trek to a higher altitude.

Food During the Everest View Trek

Food is essential to the trekking experience, with various options catering to different tastes. Meals are typically served at the lodges where trekkers stay, and the menus often include a mix of local and international cuisine. Here’s what you can expect for each meal:

    Breakfast

    • Tibetan bread
    • Porridge
    • Muesli
    • Omelettes
    • Pancakes
    • Hot soup

    Lunch

    • Dal Bhat (rice and lentil soup)
    • Fried rice
    • Momos (dumplings)
    • Pasta
    • Pizza
    • Sandwiches

    Dinner

    • Dal Bhat (a staple meal)
    • Vegetable curry
    • Noodles
    • Fried rice
    • Local meat dishes
    • Soup

Trekkers are encouraged to try local dishes like Dal Bhat, which is nutritious and provides the necessary energy for trekking. Additionally, it is advisable to carry water purification tablets, as bottled water can be expensive at higher altitudes.

Electricity, Battery Recharge & Water During the Trek

Almost all the tea houses situated along the trekking route provide electricity options to charge the devices. However, it is safer to have a power bank as a backup. You will need to pay extra for the electricity and charging facilities.

Water has to be bought or made to get purified using tablets or filters. Drinking more water during the ride is very important, mainly if the area is higher.

Remember that a water bottle costs 2 to 3 dollars at a higher altitude, and you can save that money with water-purifying tablets. Also, it would help if you carried your water bottle for the mountain environment.

    Other Trekking Trails Β

There are several options for trekkers who wish to experience another journey: they can go on the Gokyo Lakes Trek or view the magnificent Himalayas while on the Everest Base Camp trek. While these routes may be visually more complicated, they provide vantage points that are different from the usual perspectives of the region.

    Why Choose Himalayan Masters?

Himalayan Masters is a trekking agency that provides tourists with guided tours for the Everest View Trek. They give their hikers experienced guides and a proper schedule to make the trekking safer and more comfortable.

    Booking/Airport Pickup

Many trekking companies’ deals involve providing clients with transport from the airport. This should be checked and cleared while making the trek arrangements to ensure a hassle-free arrival at Kathmandu.

    Support Team

The standard personnel required to support a trek typically consists of a leading guide, a second guide, and porters. Porters are responsible for safeguarding the trekkers and their belongings and helping them during the trekking exercise.

    Starting Point/Ending Point

These start and end at Lukla, with a spectacular flight from the capital city of Kathmandu. TIA is a small airport that is the access point to the Everest trekking trails and the general region.

A typical day on the Everest View Trek

Meals on the Everest View Trek are usually prepared freshly and taken in the morning, after which the trekkers start the day’s trekking activities. Snack time is also lunchtime; everyone will be at their destination by the afternoon. Nights are dedicated to relaxation and walking around the locality, after which people discuss the day’s events.

    Cost for Everest View Trek

The Himalayan Masters Everest View Trek costs $980, including the two-way flight tickets to Lukla, all permit costs, and the cost of the guide/ Porter. We will accommodate you at the best hotels available throughout the trek.

If you want to travel as an Independent trekker, you must pay about $50 for the permit. The flight to and from Lukla costs about $400. And then you will pay for your food, which costs around $10 per meal, and accommodation costs about $10. The guide costs about $25 per day, and that of a porter is about $15. Also, you must rent some trekking gear, such as boots and jackets. You might not need a sleeping bag for this tour.

    Everest View Trek Insurance

It is very advisable to purchase insurance. This insurance covers medical situations, trip incidents, and evacuations. It must also cover high-altitude treks to avoid incidents during the activity ventured into during the trip.

There are credible companies that offer travel insurance, including World Nomads, Allianz Travel, and SafetyWing. The above companies offer different packages suitable for adventurer travellers, covering all trekking aspects.

    Additional Expenses

    Trek costs should include:

    • Extra food and beverages.
    • Tips to the guides and porters.
    • Other costs for activities are not included in the trek.

One should ensure they have enough cash because there are hardly any other outlets to access cash in insecure areas.

    ATM on the EBC Route

There are cash ATMs in Namche Bazaar from which trekkers can withdraw money. However, it is recommended that you have some cash with you for the trek, as there is no opportunity to use a bank card in distant areas.

    Trip Extension

On all Extension Trips, one can visit the whole Kathmandu Valley, including Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) and Pashupatinath Temple, or one can do more trekking in the Annapurna region or Gokyo Lakes.

Many trekking agencies have pre-packaged route extensions whereby travellers may book treks from the trekking agencies or get transfer-only services with lodging and guided tours, which are also available.

That is why this enables trekkers to get something more covered when it comes to exploring the geography and culture of Nepal. This detailed description of the Everest View Trek gives an excellent overall impression of the trek- and it may be appealing to anyone who wants to explore the Himalayas.

    Reviews

A review of our trip to the Everest view hotel with our guide Pasang. Me and my mom really enjoyed our time with him. He was very flexible and kind. He was able to change our schedule to our liking and capabilities. He was a knowledgeable guide and kept us informed and safe throughout our trek. He was a good leader and worked well coordinating our porter too. He even carried our stuff towards the end when the days got long and our legs were tired.
My favourite part of his guide was that he was relatable and he was down to earth. I would really recommend him for other tours. He is a really good addition to Himalayan masters

Couldn’t recommend Himalayan Masters more for anyone looking for a trekking trip in Nepal

As a first-timer to Nepal and any trekking trips, Sandip was professional from our first conversation with him – he was able to help us with trail selection (based on our experience and preferences); trip preparation (such as equipment to purchase and bring). Items that are included/excluded as part of the package are also clearly written on the website (and fully delivered, if not more). What we really liked was how flexible trip planning was and how responsive Sandip was in answering our queries and helping us prepare for the trip.

As we arrive in Nepal – all accommodation, pick-ups and other transportation are well-arranged. The package was designed so that Himalayan masters also provide some necessary mountaineering gear – so all in all It was a truly hassle-free experience and we could focus on enjoying the trek and views Everest has to offer. All concerns we had with regard to adapting to the food / high altitude / cold weather / physical fitness are being well taken care of. The team is very experienced in high-altitude trekking and we could trust them with any questions we had. Sandip is also really just one message away most of the time so any questions were being addressed promptly. Due to weather conditions, or the flight from Lukla back to the city was cancelled – Sandip was very professional throughout and helped us arrange alternatives so that we could catch our international flight.

Everything aside, we set off to Nepal knowing that we’d enjoy the mountains, but the team at Himalayan Master just made you fall in love with it more. Sandip, our porter Bage is both genuine and really passionate about the mountains. They shared so many things about nature, culture and their experiences on the treks which made the trip so much more interesting. The way they talked about the peaks and expeditions they’ve had still stuck with me. You will on one hand be amazed at how well-versed they are with the Everest region and its everchanging conditions; and on the other hand, just great people to be around and spend time with.

Will definitely go back someday for more trails and would hope to trek with Himalayan Master again!
