Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is the ultimate spiritual journey for the attainment of peace and salvation. Kailash is the most important pilgrimage for Hindus in the remote Himalayas range. A round walk/ Circumambulation (Parikrama) and a holy bath in Mansarovar Lake are said to take away your sins and cleanse your heart.
The peak of Kailash at 6,638 m falls in the Autonomous Region of China which is called Tibet. Lake Mansarovar is also situated in proximity to the freshwater lake. Mount Kailash is considered the home to Lord Shiva, the ultimate gods of gods for Hindu people.
This is the closest you get to the powerful Lord Shiva. Not just for Hindus, this Kailash and Mansarovar tour is also considered sacred for Bön, Buddhism, and Jainism. Where else will you find such unity and togetherness?
Amazing Kailash Tour From Kathmandu
Although Kailash and Mansarovar lie in the Tibetan region, the easiest way to get there is from Nepal. Starting of Kailash tour from Kathmandu, you will get to Tibet from the Kerung border. The other’s day drive from Kerung to Saga is also equally fun. On the next day, we drive to Mansarovar Lake where we can dip ourselves in the holy lake and conduct a puja.
Then, we drive towards the Mount Kailash base at Darchen. Then, the tough journey on the foot commences. We walk at over 4,500 meters from Dehara Pukparikrama to the Dolma La high passes. Dolma La at 5,944 meters is the highest point of our trek. After two and half days of walk, we get back to Darchen and drive to Saga. Then, we drive from Saga to Kerung and finally to Kathmandu.
Since we will be driving for most of the tour, the Kailash trekking is very short. This means that the tour can be accomplished by anyone without much difficulty. All the permits and arrangements will be done by our team and you get to enjoy the moments.

What Is The Best Time For kailash Mansarovar Yatra?
Among different times of the year, autumn (September to November) has received the biggest number of Kailash Kora visitors. The weather in autumn is also very stable and warm. The views of the mountains are very clear and the weather of the Kailash region is favorable. The other preferable month is spring which the entire region is very warm.
The Kailash Mountain definitely remains beautiful, but there are so many other perks like colorful blooms of wildflowers and fresh alpine vegetation. Summer, also a rainy season in Nepal doesn’t have much impact in the trans-Himalayan region of Tibet. The Kailash region is open for treks during June and July but you might have to wait for a few days if the rain starts to pour.
Otherwise, it’s also the best time for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Lastly, we have the winter season when the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is not permitted. The Kailash Kora is closed and the permits will not be issued to trek in the winter. That’s because the temperature becomes very cold in winter and the entire path is covered in snow.
Since, we will be staying in the camps for about 2 days, trekking to Kailash in the right weather is really important. However, the limited number of guest houses in the Kailash Mansarovar region are over-occupied during the peak season. Our Himalayan masters’ team will help you with all these arrangements.
