Me and my friend had a wonderful week with the Himalayan masters on the Langtang Valley trek! We had 5 days trekking in the amazing landscape and safe travel to and from via Jeep hire. Despite it being monsoons season we still managed to see some glaciers and Himalayan views at the top of Kyangjin Ri (4700m)! Bashu our guide was amazing, and helped us when my friend got altitude sickness. The experience was an amazing Nepal trip with food from lovely hostels, meeting the people who live in the villages along the way, and seeing the Himalayas. Thank you!

We researched a number of trekking companies and chose Himalayan Masters because Sandip the owner was so responsive to our inquiries and requests. We chose the Tsum Valley & Manaslu Circuit tour and explained that we wanted a guide who was knowledgeable about the culture and history of the region. Our guide, Amrit, was wonderful. His English was excellent and he shared so much information about our daily activities and where we were going and what we were seeing – definitely more informative than other guides I heard talking to their clients. Amrit was always checking in on how we were doing and was happy to accommodate our wishes for lingering along the trail and visiting specific areas. He was organized and made sure our accommodations and meals were in order. We always felt safe along the way and even when caught in a snow storm at Lharka Pass and had to turn back, he had Plans A, B & C to get us out as safely and expeditiously as possible. We can definitely recommend Himalayan Masters for a fantastic time trekking.

What a privilege it was to be in Nepal and experience this trek, authentic, peaceful, raw and rugged are what make the circuit still so untouched. It was even more quiet than usual, but we met incredible people during what Is a unique time.

We were also incredibly lucky with the weather, and many of the days still feel dreamlike. This a tough trek so a good baseline level of fitness is required.

Our guide, Kanchan, was truly one of a kind. Generous, thoughtful, professional, and full of joy—he made the entire trek effortless for us. With over 10 years of experience on this route, his local knowledge and connections meant we never had to worry about a thing. He understood us quickly and adapted everything to suit—whether that meant bigger food portions or rooms with the best views, or helping us plan what came after the trek. Beyond that, it was the laughter, care, and genuine connection that made such a difference as he created space for us to fully take in everything around us while always being there when needed. I couldn’t recommend him more highly to anyone considering trekking in Nepal, no matter the type of person or group you are.

Some days on this trek honestly felt like a blur and it will take us a long time to process it all. We’ve made friends for life, experienced unforgettable landscapes, absorbed unique history and cultures that will stay with us for years to come.

After a year of planning and training our Tsum Valley and Manaslu circuit really exceeded all our expectations. It was fantastic!!!
Himalayan Masters is an excellent company to deal with and can highly commend our guide Kanchan and porters Denish and Surya. They went above and beyond to ensure a safe and memorable adventure which has been a highlight of our travels over the years. We experienced the unusually harsh weather system that affected the region early October. Kanchan was very safety conscious and eased our trepidation and anxiety about the potential dangers and risks. Kanchan, Denish & Surya all had a wonderful sense of humour and brought a lightness and fun to what were sometimes long and challenging days on the trek. They treated us like family and really looked out for us. Kanchan quickly assessed our abilities ( as an older couple) and adapted our itinerary to get the best out of the route for us. The tea houses he chose were comfortable and more importantly had hygienic kitchens. We were never sick from the food and the meals enroute were delicious. As a guide, Kanchan was outstanding in his knowledge of the route, the landscape , village traditions and religious customs. He was respected by the locals and other guides wherever we went. Small details were not missed – honestly, he went above and beyond.
Himalayan Masters provided us with high quality sleeping bag, down jacket and crampons all of which were essential and invaluable above 3000m. Sandip was great to deal with especially when planning the trip.
We were sad to farewell , three very special guys…. Thanks Kanchan, Denish and Suria for helping us through a challenging but most rewarding trek of a lifetime.

If you are planning the Manaslu Circuit I cannot recommend Himalayan Masters and our guide Bibek highly enough. He is a guide who leads with kindness, deep expertise and a quiet confidence that makes you feel safe and cared after every step of the way.
On Day 5 I sprained my ankle during a descent. This could have ended my trek, but Bibek’s experience saved it. He adjusted our daily pace and suggested custom routes for me on acclimatization days. The descent from Larke Pass was the most challenging moment for me. Facing icy conditions and a fear of heights I slipped and felt paralyzed. Bibek helped me to get up and walked with me every single step of the way down, ensuring I felt secure and safe until we reached flat ground. His physical and emotional support during that descent was the reason I was able to finish.
Bibek also has a “magic touch” with logistics. We consistently stayed in rooms with the absolute best views out of the door and he knew exactly which teahouses served the best dal bhat. Plus, his knowledge of water points meant we never had to carry unnecessary weight. On top he has an incredible story of his own! Ask him when you join him on the trek!

Our 15-day Manaslu Circuit trek (April 2026) exceeded every expectation, and the team its owner Sandip assembled for our 4-person group was remarkable.
Our guide, Santosh, was the heart of the experience. His knowledge of the local culture, villages, monasteries, peaks, and wildlife along the trail was encyclopedic — he transformed every rest stop and viewpoint into a real learning experience. He read trail conditions expertly, always knew what lay ahead, and consistently secured the best available rooms at tea houses along the route, no small feat during peak season. Perhaps most importantly, Santosh was meticulous about our health and acclimatization as we gained altitude, monitoring our well-being closely and making smart decisions that kept the whole group safe and strong throughout the journey. His attentiveness and warmth made a demanding trek feel well within reach.
Equal praise belongs to our porters, Narayan and Pharindra, who were absolute workhorses. Day after day, over brutally steep and rocky terrain, they carried enormous loads with energy and good humor. Their resilience was infectious, and their dedication never wavered across the entire 15 days.
As for the Manaslu Circuit itself — the scenery is staggeringly beautiful. Towering snow-covered peaks, ancient Tibetan-influenced villages, remote high passes, and valleys carved by glaciers create a visual drama that is difficult to put into words. Make no mistake, the terrain is very challenging: long days, significant elevation gains, and rugged trails demand serious physical preparation. But that challenge is part of what makes this trek to so rewarding.

We couldn’t be in better hands than with the Himalayan Masters. Thank you, Ramesh, Dile and Raj for making us laugh and being so attentive the whole trip. While we were first unsure whether we should join a group trekking as a couple, we did not regret it a single day. The hiking can be tough from times, especially at higher altitude, so it was great to be surrounded by lovely team mates and to share the experience with others. We would give 6 stars, if that would be possible. My only recommendation for the future would be to think about taking female guides on board :-).

Our time with Himalayan masters was completely seamless and so enjoyable! The trek was beautiful and we got to enjoy the mountains properly by trekking through them each day. The scenery was beyond stunning and we got to experience forests, waterfalls and of course the mountains. The villages that we stayed in were lovely and a true taste of Tibetan life. Waking up every morning to a different view of the mountains has to be a highlight- it was like looking at a postcard! If you do one trek in the Himalayas make it this one, it was beautiful, not as busy as other Nepal treks but still has the wow factor. Our guide Umesh went above and beyond to make sure we were all having a good time and making sure we were safe, you couldn’t fault him. It was great to have someone with such knowledge of the mountains and clearly a love of the area. The experience wouldn’t have been the same without him and we all got along so well. Our guides Suzan and Deepak were also very lovely and super helpful.

From the moment I got in touch with these guys, to the moment I left Nepal they have been absolutely incredible. Nothing was too much hassle for them to help with and my guide Sujan was an absolute legend.

When I got to Nepal I still had a small injury in my knee, Dipak took the time to explain all of my options to me and help me arrive at the decision to go ahead with the trip, but change the itinerary to accommodate the injury with a solo guide.

They were super flexible and I felt very comfortable discussing options- never pushed in one direction or the other- just solid, straightforward advice.

Sujan took the reins from there and logistically everything was so easy, nothing was too hard for him to help with and I wanted for nothing whilst on the trail. The trip itself was incredibly well coordinated with the best accommodation on trail. The views speak for themselves and the Manaslu circuit offers some of the best mountain views I’ve ever experienced- all made possible by the masters team.

I would very highly reccomend this company to anybody thinking of trekking in Nepal, they set the ‘gold standard’ and offer excellent value for money.

If/when I return to Nepal, I will undoubtedly get back in contact with these guys to help me plan the next adventure!

Just finished Annapurna Circuit Trek with Himalayan Masters.
Ramesh and Dhanraj were a great team to guide us! They took care of everything and helped us with every question. Also they were very flexible throughout the trek, for example we changed our bus trip back because we hiked very fast that day. The selection of accomodations were also very nice. We had the feeling of traditional tea houses, they all had a good standard. And we had so much fun with Ramesh and Dhanraj!
Himalayan Masters provided us with every equipment we needed, with no extra cost. They had an answer for every question, via mail or in their Kathmandu office.
It was a beautiful experience with an agency and a guide team we would highly recommend!

My wife and I recently completed a 10-day trek in the Langtang Valley with Himalayan Masters, and the entire experience from start to finish was exceptional.

From the very beginning, the planning process with Sandip was smooth and professional. He was incredibly responsive, answered all our questions, and helped tailor the trip so everything ran seamlessly before we even arrived in Nepal.

Once in Kathmandu, Dipak took the time to meet with us and provide a thorough briefing. This gave us a lot of confidence heading into the trek and showed how organised and experienced the team is.

Out on the trail, our guide Santosh was simply outstanding. His attention to detail, care for our safety and comfort, and constant check-ins throughout the trek made a huge difference. TL;DR – Himalayan Masters is the ONLY trekking company you should consider! Ask for a Guide named Bibek and a Porter named Unique!

There are dozens, if not over a hundred, trekking companies that offered treks to Everest Base Camp. I was a bit overwhelmed. How do I choose one?

After watching a very positive YouTube post from a couple that normally trek on their own with no guide or porter highly recommend HM I made my decision. I selected Himalayan Masters (HM).

I downloaded WhatsApp, found the HM contact and started the process of organizing my trip. From the beginning the company was very responsive. I selected the “Everest Base Camp and Three Passes Trek”.

I was assured that once I landed at the airport in Kathmandu that someone from the company would be there to meet me. Even though it took me about two hours to process through customers (my fault for taking so long!) I was cheerfully met by HM once I had my luggage and exited the building where they took me to my hotel.

I got to Kathmandu a couple of days early so I got acclimate a little. The day before my trek I was asked to come to their office and get my briefing. Sandip, that owner, gave me a very thorough briefing. As promised, I was also provided with a sleeping bag, crampons and a winter coat that would keep me warm.

The next day I was picked up at my hotel and driven to the HM office where I met my guide, Bibek. As a retired military person I was used to being in charge and organizing my missions and was a little hesitant to turn over control to Bibek. As it turns out, I shouldn’t have had any concern.

From the first moment of my trek Bibek told me to relax and enjoy the trek and to go at my own pace. We had plenty of time to meet our daily goals. To be honest, I was struggling. Though I never got altitude sickness the decrease in oxygen at the higher levels kicked my nearly 62 year old, very fit, butt. Bibek never complained about my slow pace. He was very encouraging and checked on me frequently, often time encouraging me to take a break.

Bibek was extremely knowledgeable about the Nepalese culture and it’s history. Bibek knew monks in two of the most famous monasteries in Nepal and arranged to get me a personal blessing from each location. Wow! If you are into history he’ll take you to places off the beaten path where almost no one will be taken. Want advice as to where to eat or what to try, Bibek has suggestions.

He also had connections in all the tea houses we stayed in. I felt that I was being personally given extra-special treatment from the staff. He arranged for anything I wanted from WiFi access, food and beverages.

Two days into my trek one of my teeth started to hurt. I have a history of teeth issue but had gone to the dentis a week prior to the trek to get a clean bill of health. I told Bibek what was going on. Several days later, upon reaching Dingboche, I knew that I was in trouble with my tooth. It was infected.

Bibek assured me that all would be well and that there was a very good clinic in Dingboche and that I would see them the next morning as soon as they opened. I saw the doctor and was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication.

I knew that I really couldn’t continue the trek as my tooth would probably get worse. Bibek quickly adapted and assured me that he’d get me back to Kathmandu as soon as possible. My tooth issues was considered a medical issue and as such I was able to get a helicopter from Dingboche to Lukla.

As bad luck would have it, the weather was terrible. Snow storms and heavy rain was going to be th weather for the better part of the week. Once we got to Lukla Bibek worked furiously with Sandip (owner) and various airport authorities to get me on the next flight to Kathmandu so that I could get home.

Once again, the weather continued to be terrible, causing most flights to be cancelled for days. We were told to hurry to the airport to catch a helicopter flight only to be told fifteen minutes later that the weather changed for the worse and was cancelled.

This would be a very, very frustrating situation for anyone. But, Bibek stayed calm and assured me that he would make get me home. He was working his contacts locally and back in Kathmandu. He would say that we have this option and that option and that all we need is the weather to give us a break and we’re on our way. The weather wouldn’t cooperate but Bibek continued to work all the angles to get me back.

I’ll close with saying that the Himalayan Masters company, especially my gude Bibek and my porter Unique, were AMAAAAZING! They were both so friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Even though I couldn’t finish my trek, Bibek helped make the very best of a bad situation for me and I’ll look back on my experiences with a smile.

Do yourself or the team you are going with a big favor—choose HM and ask for Bibek and Unique. You will thank me!

I came to Nepal to complete the Three Pass Trek ,a big dream for me. We crossed Kongma La (5,535m), reached Everest Base Camp, and pushed through fresh snow and tough weather. After EBC a snowstorm hit the region, and for safety we adjusted our plan ,a reminder that the mountains always decide. Through everything, my guide Tek was calm, professional, and always thinking ahead. He made smart decisions, explained the situations clearly, checked on us constantly, and turned this journey into a safe and meaningful experience. His knowledge, patience, and kindness made all the difference. My porter Madan is a real mountain hero ,carrying our bags every day with a smile, moving fast through snow and rocky trails, always positive and supportive. Without him, none of this would be possible. Even though weather changed our route, I feel nothing but gratitude and pride. We completed the hardest pass in Everest region, reached base camp, and experienced the Himalayas in their real, raw beauty. I came alone, and I am leaving with great memories and new friends.

We booked the 3 passes Everest Trail. We met Sandip at our hotel and the briefing was perfect. The next day we met our guide Basu and flew by helicopter to Lukla. The first few days we had wonderful weather and Basu was the best guide we could wish for, communicative, helpful, flexible, always looking after us. During the bad weather phase he supervised us and adapted the tour to our individual needs. It was a great pleasure for us to see Gokyo and climb Gokyo Ri. We would book with Himalya Masters again at any time as they have a large network, are absolutely reliable and endeavoured and can change the tour individually quickly.

A major thank you to the Himalayan Masters team. They are a fantastic tour agency that I highly recommend. From the very first contact, Sandip was responsive and quick with answers. Our trek to Gokyo Lakes was perfect.

Our guide, Nabu, was outstanding—always attentive to our needs. When I experienced altitude issues, he was incredibly reassuring, prioritized my safety, and helped me recover so I could continue the hike without any problems. A huge thank you to Nabu for going above and beyond to ensure both our safety and our enjoyment. He also took great photos of our group!

Our porters, Bage and Mangel, made this trek possible by carrying the extra clothing needed for the colder temperatures. They always had a smile on their faces and were amazing members of the team. I couldn’t imagine doing this trek without their help.

This truly was the trip of a lifetime, and Himalayan Masters made it all possible. From start to finish, they delivered an incredible experience. I highly recommend this company.

In 2018 I tried to reach the turquoise lakes of Gokyo but acute mountain sickness forced me into a helicopter seat. In 2024 history repeated itself on the way to Everest Base Camp, and my wife and I were again whisked away by rotor blades at Dingboche.

When I approached Himalayan Masters’ boss and founder, Sandip, I did so with the trepidation of having had two unsuccessful attempts. His response was measured and reassuring; he listened carefully to my history, then devised a bespoke acclimatization plan with extra nights at Phakding, Monjo, Namche Bazaar and Machhermo. He promised to do everything possible to get us to Gokyo Ri and Renjo La and he delivered.

What sets Himalayan Masters apart from previous companies was the way they integrated science and empathy into the itinerary. Sandip personally provided a comprehensive pre-trek briefing, lending us equipment and outlining exactly how to adapt to altitude. He also offered thoughtful inclusions such as water purification tablets, warm jackets and sleeping bags at no additional cost.

Their guides even carry pulse oximeters to monitor oxygen saturation. These details might seem small until you realize how much they contribute to confidence at five thousand meters. For us, the extra acclimatization days meant we could explore monasteries and yak pastures without the haze of headaches, and the careful packing meant we did not have to compromise comfort for safety.

Once on the trail, our guide Ramesh became part medic, part confidant and part comedian. He advised us on what to eat, insisted on steady hydration and allowed the pace to ebb and flow with our acclimation. When the nights turned frigid, he negotiated electric blankets and rooms with attached bathrooms.

Our porter Umbil was equally heroic, carrying nearly 28 kilograms up steep moraines. On the day we crossed Renjo La, a 22 kilometer march with an eight hour ascent and descent, he shouldered the load with a smile.

We were struck by how flexible the itinerary was. On days when my oxygen saturation dipped or when my wife felt tired, Ramesh rearranged departure times and distances, ensuring we gained height slowly.

The company also elevates the experience by upgrading transport and accommodation when possible. Safety was always the priority. There was also the space and time to spend quiet time on our own, giving the trek the feel of both expedition and family holiday.

After about 11 days of walking, climbing and acclimating, we stood atop Gokyo Ri and the Renjo La pass with clear heads and full hearts. The satisfaction went beyond summiting. It came from overcoming previous failures through careful planning, thoughtful acclimatization and the support of everyone at Himalayan Masters from the boss to the guide and porter.

Himalayan Masters combines professional expertise with the warmth of friends who want you to succeed, and that deserves nothing less than a five-star endorsement. I can confidently recommend this company for anyone dreaming of trekking in the Khumbu. Our next plan is to return with Ramesh in 2026 and finally reach Everest Base Camp.

We recently returned after an epic journey to Nepal. This was a bucket list trip for us – and Himalayan Masters delivered an outstanding trip. We had originally planned the Manaslu trek last Nov – but 36 hours before departure – the KTM airport closed thus cancelling our flight. Sandip was so accommodating and we were so bummed, but decided to return in 2025. We had worked with Sandip since April 2024 to make this happen. Cannot say enough about Sandip and how he organizes his trips. 5 star attention to details, he and his team handle everything from landing in KTM to departure from KTM.
We opted for the Everest 3 Passes Trek, Sandip spent 2 hours with us at the HM office going over every detail of what to expect. Upon arriving in Lukla – we met our guide Moti and porters Subase and Idan. Spending 17 days with these 3 was just a charm. Moti handled every attention to detail so perfectly and was such a pleasure to be around, as were Subase and Idan.
We faced numerous challenges on the trek and Moti and team were always right there with us providing all options. I cannot say enough about these 3.

I cannot say enough positive things about our phenomenal guide, Bashu, and the company, Himalayan Masters. Our custom trek was blessed with perfect weather, breathtaking views, and, most importantly, a guide who was knowledgeable, fun, and truly exceptional at his job, which made our experience a GREAT one.

Pre-Trek Planning & Logistics
Before picking Himalayan Masters, I had reached out to almost 20 different companies and individuals. We were a group of five, and I designed our custom itinerary (Gokyo Lakes and then Everest Base Camp) based on extensive online research and conversations. We ultimately selected Himalayan Masters after comparing price, the completeness of their offering, and consistent positive reviews across all the sources I could find (Reddit, TripAdvisor, Google, etc.).

We arranged our custom itinerary directly with Sandip, the owner of Himalayan Masters. From start to finish, everything was smooth, organized, and stress-free. Bashu helped ensure all of our experiences along the way were as good as they possibly could be; he kept us informed, setting clear expectations for what was ahead and how we could successfully approach it.

Emergency Response & Professionalism
At one critical point along the trek, a member of our group developed rapidly worsening altitude sickness and needed an emergency evacuation. Bashu and Sandip handled everything with calm and efficient professionalism. From the moment she walked into the Gokyo infirmary to the moment she was airborne in a rescue helicopter was less than an hour. Watching how swiftly and competently they responded gave us complete confidence that we were in the best possible hands. An added note: because Sandip had steered our group towards quality insurance, they were reimbursed for the entire evacuation cost.

I recently completed the Three Passes Trek with Himalayan Masters, and I honestly don’t think I could have asked for a better company to do such a demanding and life-changing trek with. From start to finish, everything was handled with outstanding professionalism, care, and precision.

Sandip is an absolute genius when it comes to logistics across the entire Himalayan region. The way every single detail was planned and executed so seamlessly is truly impressive. On top of that, he has remarkably strong helicopter connections, which proved absolutely critical during our trek. One of the trekkers in our group developed severe altitude sickness, and in less than an hour, a helicopter was arranged to evacuate him safely back to Kathmandu. Watching how fast and smoothly everything was handled was nothing short of extraordinary.

What makes Sandip even more remarkable is that he is a 24/7 point of contact—I genuinely don’t know how he does it. No matter the time, the concern, or the situation, he was always there, fully present and fully committed. An absolute legend in every sense.

He also ended up assigning us an incredibly experienced guide, Gobinda, who was supportive, patient, and attentive to every detail from start to finish. His knowledge of the mountains is truly unparalleled, and his calm, reassuring presence made a massive difference throughout the trek. He was always there when we needed him, no matter how small or big the issue.

And then there was our porter—an absolute powerhouse. Always smiling, never once complaining, and somehow carrying an unbelievable 50 kg load with ease. Half the time, he would reach the teahouse before us, which honestly left us in awe. His strength, positivity, and dedication added so much to the experience.

The entire journey was top-tier. If you were to ask me honestly, I would happily pay more than what I did for the level of service, safety, and care that Himalayan Masters provided. I fully vouch for this company, and I will 100% be coming back to plan another adventure with them.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Himalayan Masters on our recent trek in the Langtang Valley.

The valley itself was beautiful and varied, with breathtaking mountain scenery. The climbs to Kyanjin Ri and Tserko Ri were the definite highlights, but the whole trek was a terrific experience. The teahouses along the route were comfortable and the food was consistently delicious.

During the preparations Sandip from Himalayan Masters was very helpful, tailoring aspects of the trip to our needs — which included organising a private jeep for us to Chitwan national park following our trek.

Our guide Bashu was both very friendly and professional throughout, with impressive knowledge of the Langtang Valley and trekking in the Himalaya more generally. He organised our accommodation and other aspects of the trip very carefully, so that the entire experience was incredibly smooth. Our porter Naba was also very helpful and polite throughout, not only carrying our gear without complaint but also ensuring that we were comfortable in the accommodation. If organising a trip with Himalayan Masters in the future, I would certainly request Bashu and Naba again.

More generally, I would strongly recommend Himalayan Masters to anyone trekking in the Himalaya. They provided brilliant service to ensure that our trip was perfect.

We had the best time, and would highly recommend Himalayan Masters to all of our friends and family. Sandip‘s communication was excellent and we felt well prepared for the trip from the beginning, and it was very easy to tailor the trip to our preferences. From our arrival in Kathmandu airport to our return home, Himalayan Masters thought of everything we might need and made sure we were always happy, safe, and able to experience Nepal.

Our guide Bashu was wonderful. He was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He helped us to complete the trek and climb Tsergo Ri, encouraging us and making us feel safe and courageous. Our porter Naba was so lovely, he was always smiling, helped us by taking a lot of extra weight of our shoulders, and always made sure we were happy, filling our water bottles or giving me a helping hand on tricky terrain.

I did the Langtang Valley Trek with Himalayan Masters this November. The company was incredibly easy to book with prior to the trek and there experience was overall great. Had a heck of a time with Deepak Acharya as our guide (20+ years experience) the Langtang Valley trek was short and sweet, a blissful journey with exquisite scenery and a nice challenge. Our 16-day trek from Syabru Besi was fantastic, we enjoyed every single day on the trail. Highlights were the hot springs at Tatopani, Naghtali and Taruche view point as well as the four days in Kyanjin Gumba which gave us the opportunity to explore the nearby peaks plus the beautiful trail up the Langtang Khola towards Langshisha Kharka. Everything was seamless and fun. Our guide Nabu was fantastic. He was so friendly and helpful, making sure we were well looked after the whole time. I am coeliac and Nabu made sure I had plenty to eat for the whole trek. My partner had food poising from our flight to kathmandu and Nabu made sure he was ok as we commenced the trek and the whole way through.

Sandip was amazing in helping us book and prepare for the trek. He was so responsive to our messages and answered all our questions! We were immediately greeted by Ram at the airport and taken to our hotel which was great! We also saw Ram guiding another group along the same route and he was so kind and friendly as was our trek’s porter Rashun who was incredible.

We recently completed the Langtang Valley trek organized by Himalayan Masters and honestly, the experience was amazing. From the moment we landed in Kathmandu until the final drop-off, every detail was handled with precision, care, and genuine warmth. If you are considering trekking in Nepal, stop searching—this is the company you need.

All of the tea house accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well-chosen for their views and hospitality. The coordination of transport, permits, and porter arrangements was flawless.

Our guide, Nobu, was the heart and soul of this journey. His knowledge of the local culture, geology, and history made every day interesting. More importantly, his professionalism and care were exceptional. We felt fully supported, especially during the steeper sections and while dealing with the thin air. If you’re going to trek in the Himalayas you should go with Himalayan Masters. And more specifically, ask for Ram as your guide and Newangda as your porter. Ram knows all the trekking routes like the back of his hand, having guided people on scores of over the years. He exercises sound judgment concerning when and where to trek given weather conditions, trekkers’ abilities and wellness levels and other important factors that bear on the safety and enjoyment of the trek.

He regularly checks on how you are feeling, whether you need anything and what he can do to provide the best possible trekking experience. And he may well be one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. Newangda is utterly tireless and in incredibly helpful. The company itself is well organized and professional. They took care of everything, from pick up and drop off at the airport, the drive back and forth between Kathmandu and the start of the trek several hours away and the equipment needed on the trek.

Ram, Newangda and Himalayan Masters made my Langtang Valley trek one of the most memorable experiences of my life, and I have nothing but praise for them. I can’t recommend them more strongly.

The Himalayan Masters with our guide, Santosh, made the journey from Kathmandu around Manaslu and back again an absolutely incredible experience with quality comforts (airport pick up/drop off to hotel, individual meeting to review trek’s itinerary, lending of down jacket – sleeping bag – trekking poles, necessary merch [trucker cap, 1L plastic water bottle], private jeep) and top notch views.

Once inside the trek, your experience is at the mercy of many elements (your inner self, weather, sleep quality/quantity, hydration, quality of shoe, physical fatigue). Santosh, our guide, ensured provision of the most supportive and comforting services above and beyond necessary. Including: verbal encouragement, demanding the best rooms at the tea houses (both for views and distance to restroom), making suggestions to support our health (heartier meals when needed, ginger lemon tea, monitoring hydration and sleep, checking heart rate and oxygen at high altitudes), getting us WiFi and hot showers, co-collaborating with us on times for start of day, breakfast, lunch, dinner which all came from his generosity and commitment to service. Many other trekkers commented on how dedicated Santosh was to my friend and I.

Personally, Santosh even ran back to grab my forgotten tea house shoes, helped peel my boiled eggs, put my crampons on my shoes during snowfall, remembered I liked hot water in the mornings and after dinner, ensured my Dal Bhat came with fried egg – without fail, and often called ahead to order our lunch we were starved and so depleted so the lunch would be ready on arrival. I felt truly pampered and completely safe with Santosh as our guide.

Thank you for enhancing the already magical trek of Manaslu, Santosh and Himalyan Masters. It was a true delight. We will be make to trek again with you in the future.

Thank you to Himalayan Masters for providing such an excellent experience for the 13-day Manaslu Circuit trek. Our guide, Santosh, is an expert in the area completing the circuit 40+ times. He knew a lot of the guides and booked us the most preferred rooms at tea houses even calling ahead to order a lunch dal bhat (fuel for the Himalayas). He was extremely attentive towards us and treated us like family.

Sandip, the director, is very passionate about his crew and was helpful answering questions, booking the trip for us and following up before and during the trek. We felt safe throughout our time in Nepal as two females and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trek for the incredible views and peaceful nature.

I, along with two friends, recently completed the 13 day (11 days hiking) Manaslu circuit with Himalayan Masters and could not recommend the experience more.

Before arriving in Nepal, Sandip was very communicative, answering all of our questions, sending helpful information and keeping us updated on the political situation at the time. Airport pickup went smoothly. The day before setting off we had a full briefing, going over each day in detail and showing our route on the map, we also tried on our Himalayan masters large puffer jackets (a must!!) and hiking poles. We also met our legend of a guide Dipak and heroic porter Gopal.

We were picked up from our hotel by private jeep to begin the long journey to the starting town (made longer by the highway closure, landslides, common). The last 2 hours are bumpy and not for the faint hearted/those with fear of heights, but we felt confident in the drivers that Himalayan masters use.

The hike itself is incredible, from lush rainforest and 30° to rocky mountain trails to snow and back, every day felt different. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and had spectacular views each day. Dipak knows all the right people in all the right places, selecting our hotels and food stops based on quality and kindness of the owners. Each one felt special and so welcoming. The wood structure cabins in the middle days were particularly cosy. (Even if tired, be polite in your requests and respectful of the culture, we were upset to see other hikers not following this). The route is well planned for acclimatisation, however I suffered with altitude over the pass (despite reaching the Tibetan border without issue 2 days before). With a glacial pace, a bit of oxygen, a brief piggyback (thank you Gopal), and constant support from Dipak I made it over and down the other side.

Highlights:
Cup of tea and some yak meat at Manaslu basecamp, and hearing the stories from those that had just summited.
Momo cooking lesson from Dipak.
Tibetan border, unique scenery and surreal to stare over the Tibetan plateau.
Yaks.
Evening card games and giggles, the fruit platter and tea while Dipak briefed us for the next day.

We loved our experience and would 100% use Himalayan Masters again for our next Nepal adventure. Dhanyabad Sandip, Dipak and Gopal.

I went to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra along with my family. It was the most beautiful and spiritual yatra of my life. The tour started from Kathmandu with a scenic view, and then left us in awe as we entered Tibet nation. I was as amazed as excited. Despite a long driving day, I was hopeful towards witnessing the magic of Mount Kailash. As we approached nearer and nearer, the environment more serene and spiritual.
As I first saw the Kailash, I couldn’t do anything, but just bow before its presence, its aura. However, the most experience became the Kora itself. It was a bit challenging, but I felt as strong pull, as if Lord Shiva he himself was calling me, guiding me.
For making this trip so memorable, all thanks to Himalayan Masters. They are the experts. Thanks for being the backbone of our Yatra. And special thanks to Guide Govinda and porter and all those were part in it.

My Bardiya National Park Tour was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Unlike the busier Chitwan, Bardiya felt quieter, more authentic, and truly wild. I was lucky enough to spot a Royal Bengal Tiger during a jungle walk, which was a dream come true. The birdlife was incredible too—hundreds of species everywhere, from colorful kingfishers to majestic eagles. The local Tharu culture added so much charm; their traditional dance and hospitality made me feel at home. The accommodations were simple yet comfortable, and the guides were very knowledgeable about the park’s wildlife and history. If you’re looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure in Nepal, Bardiya National Park is the perfect place.

We’ve done Annapurna Circuit trek with our guide Dipak and porters Nobaras and Sebas. We had an incredible time and this will definitely count as a memorable experience. It is not common to do this trek during off-season, but the boys did not hesitate and helped us arrange and experience this trek with us. Each day was very different and all of us got sick at some point of time. Dipak was always very attentive to our health issues and helpful in managing them so in the end we all an amazing time.

We would not have been able to do this without our porters who were extremely sweet guys and Dipak without whose humour we would not have gotten too far :D

We did a 12 day hike around the Annapurna circuit as a couple with our guide Raj and our porter Deepak. Both Raj and Deepak were incredible. Raj guided us through the trek with a good knowledge of the area, the best places to stay and eat and careful consideration of safety, whilst also allowing us to have autonomy and independance.

We were held up by bad weather and Raj’s advice on the best next steps were invaluable. As it was just the two of us we also had total flexibility on dates, and Himalayan Masters were also flexible on changing plans, which was great. Deepak was a superstar, always there to lend a hand with a smile, making us laugh and making sure the journey was smooth. If you’re planning on tackling the Himalayas, I highly recommend these two! They made our adventure unforgettable!

Just got back from the Annapurna Circuit Trek with a friend and our dear guide Surje Lama!

The trip was absolute perfect, from the landscape, to the well chosen tea house accommodation (with a view!) and the amazing food. Thanks to our guide Surje and Sandip’s organisation, the all trek was so nice! Surje was always very detailed oriented and caring, making sure we were always feeling good and that we had everything we needed.

It’s incredibly daunting to choose a tour operator from the thousands in Nepal that all do the same itinerary, but I had the absolute best experience with Himalayan Masters and highly recommend them! I was a bit hesitant because the price was a bit higher for the same tour offered by other operators, but my experience was more than worth it and I am so happy I chose Himalayan Masters. I was blown away by their professionalism and commitment to ensuring clients are fully taken care of from the moment they’re taken on board. From the pre-trip meeting, I was very impressed by the level of service provided by Sandip (the owner) – I felt like I was actually climbing Everest with the level of detail he went into about the trip, and I walked out with all my last minute needs taken care of and zero concerns. He was even able to arrange an upgrade to a helicopter out to Lukla the next day rather than the standard bus/plane at no cost to myself!!

I could not have asked for a better guide than Bikram and my wonderful porter Ch’aidan (sorry about the spelling!) – they made my trip the once in a lifetime experience it was. They were always both so fun to be around, they made being on a solo trip feel like I was traveling with friends. Bikram is one of those people who seems like they know everyone and always made sure to set me up with the best guest houses / rooms (for example, I heard people at some guesthouses complaining about how they didn’t even have toilets on their floor when I would get one in my room!). When things got hard he was always positive and encouraging, and I would not have made it to base camp without him!

One of the best examples of what made this company worth it was when I ended up getting sick partway through the trip – Bikram consistently checked on me and made sure I was getting soup / water / anything I needed, and did not hesitate to book another night at the hotel we were at when I told him I didn’t think I’d be able to move the next day. I was still feeling the effects for a while so with his patience I was able to make it to base camp a few days later, but as it seemed unlikely I’d be able to make it back he and Sandip immediately got to work coordinating a helicopter rescue with my insurance after getting back to Gorakshep. I had some concerns about the insurance, but they reassured me that Sandip is very experienced in dealing with these situations so I had nothing to worry about aside from sending over a few documents. They took care of everything, which was a godsend when I was feeling as awful as I was and had no one else to advocate for me as I was traveling alone. The hospital stay was lovely, and Sandip himself even came to visit me which was such a kind gesture. I am so a happy I chose Himalayan Masters and I cannot recommend them enough!

We had a really amazing 12 day trek to Langtang and gosaikunda lake trek with Himalayan Masters and A wonderful guide and porter. Our 3 passes trek was amazing and really well organised. We had no trouble at all throughout the trip and our guide Bashu and porter Bage hold good relationships with all the teahouse owners which made everything really really easy and made us feel welcome into the Himalayas! We modified our interary slightly for the weather with Bashu’s sage advice which made the trip so much better as well.

Trekking to Nar Phu Valley with Himalayan Masters in May 2025 was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide, Kanchan, was professional, patient, and full of interesting stories about the region. Porter Nabu was so kind and helpful throughout the journey.

What a wonderful and beautiful experience trekking to base camp with our guide Moti and porter Baggi.

The trek is challenging at moments but generally manageable if you are fit and used to hiking at altitude. It’s helpful that the locals are welcoming and the food is amazing.

We went in December where there was no rain and fewer tourists, which really enhanced the experience at times we were the only ones on our route. Just be prepared for the cold near the top and on the past stretch to BC.

Sandip provided us with everything we could need and a clear briefing, but our guide Moti was fantastic. Friendly and professional. We had zero problems as a result and felt in great hands, we were so well cared for at all times, ask for moti as your guide!

Tips and comments:

I was amazed by how good the food was. Dhal bhaat is the local food, a non spicy veg curry with a green lentil soup. They will give you refills for this food and it’s very good.
The spring rolls are also something different. They’re large, like a pastie, filled with veggie noodles and fried.

You can order at most places, Nepalese food, Chinese food, and pizzas and burgers if you’re without imagination (although the veggie burger in some places was a kind of Nepalese twist so I can recommend that)

Major bonus is proper coffee throughout (complete luxury) and the boiling hot showers and electric blankets in namche!

The challenging days are there at the end. The start is a nice warm up as your guide warms you up to the harder days. Remember to stop and take photos on the ridge as you inch towards base camp the view is much better from there.

You can’t avoid the cold at the top. But the sleeping bags will keep you warm enough. We used our own coats, and we used the water purification tablets for water. Although I do recommend getting a Lifestraw (Google it)

Highly recommend the company and the trek, there is a reason so many do it. Literally sorted everything out for us and gave us a one in a lifetime experience at the foot of everest. Thank you Sandip, Moti and Baggi

The owner Sandip was always available through booking and to help with the many queries I had about the trip.

On arrival his team met us and got us settled into our hotel and the following day briefed us on our trip details.

On arrival in Lukla we were met by Bashu our guide. He was a brilliant help every day. Briefing us on the plans for each day and what we had ahead.

Nothing was too much trouble to him and he was always available to us. Including when my wife was unwell.

This is my second time trekking with Himalayan Matsers, the first being Apr 23 on the Manaslu Circuit (also outstanding). This time, we trekked for over 20 days including Everest Base Camp, Lobuche Peak and Island Peak (our first 6000m peaks).

Sandip could not be a more attentive owner, within a few Instagram messages direct, I’d received a comprehensive itinerary, FAQ and equipment list. He was understanding and knowledgeable, pairing our aspirations with the realities of high Himalayan climbing.

When we arrived in Kathmandu, I was met by Mero Bhai (my brother) Govinda Rai who guided me previously. After being whisked to our hotel to relax and enjoy the bustle of Thamel for 48 hours we were flown by helicopter to Lukhla where our trek started!

This is a fine example of how Sandip goes above and beyond for his guests. A helicopter ride is significantly more expensive than the usual flight and transfer option, but wherever possible Sandip will try to maximise your experience. In this case he provided it at no extra cost, because he knew it would improve our chances of starting our trek on time and in the best condition!

On the trek Govinda as usual ensured all our accommodation, food and daily needs were met. He did this in his usual characteristically happy and positive way! He has again satisfied my craving for insights into the cultural and linguistic tapestry of Nepal and the Sherpa people. His flexibility on changing the schedule to match our acclimatisation needs could not have been easier! Acclimatisation scares us all, but rest assured it’s all in hand!

All in I can assure you, Himalayan Masters is in the Premier League of providing a Himalayan experience. You should have no doubt Sandip and the team should be your top pick.

It’s been a pleasure to expand my climbing experiences with Himalayan Masters and I will be back to climb Ama Dablam and my first 7000m peaks in the very near future!

My EBC and Island Peak expedition with Himalayan Masters was excellent. I would highly recommend them. I travelled from Ireland and my trip was just as planned. Sandip was excellent in the organisational stage. His communication and attention to detail was very good. He tailored our itinerary to meet our needs. Sandip included a night at EBC and Kala Patthar in our itinerary.

They were also incredibly accommodating on our descent by allowing us to combine days to make our flight home. If you were a slower trekker they would adjust your itinerary accordingly. I could not have asked for anything more from Himalayan Masters. My initial contact with Sandip was great. He was responsive to all my questions, informative and accommodative. He took care of everything, including airport pick up and drop off, map, shirt, hat and a thorough route briefing. When we needed to change our itinerary part way through the trek, no problem.

Our guide, Raj Acharya, and porter, Deepak Adhikara, were both great. Raj is very knowledgeable about the Manaslu trek and bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of. Deepak, carrying a heavy load, was bent over forwards but never complained. Both were always friendly and kind.
 
Our trip was fantastic! We not only completed the trek over the pass but we also managed to get in side trips to the Serang Monastery, Pungen Gompa, Manaslu Base Camp and Rui La Pass (Tibet border). All were pretty tough hikes but so worth the effort.
 
To me, it’s obvious that Himalayan Masters has the knowledge and experience to get all the little details right. I called this the trip of a lifetime, but my wife reminded me about our honeymoon, so this was it.

My trekking accomplice and I reviewed many trekking companies before we identified Himalayan Masters as reasonably priced and flexible with itineraries. We are both old guys whose wives allowed us this far-off adventure, yet we hoped to complete the Manaslu Circuit with five or six aggressive side trips.

Having landed in Kathmandu after a 24-hour double flight from California, we were pleased to have Sandip meet us at the airport and transport us to our hotel through the chaotic local traffic. The hotel was great! The next day, we were briefed on the trek. We were pleased with Sandip’s straightforward demeanour and willingness to allow changes to the itinerary midstream, depending on our hiking abilities, whims, and other factors. We would eventually scuttle one side trip due to cloudiness and another to stay at the Serang Monastery.

Sandip’s choices of guide, Raj Acharya, and porter, Deepak Adhikari, were equally superb. Raj looked out for us, skirting trail landslides, monitoring our vitals after big climbs, and reserving us good rooms in the guest houses; plus, he made sure we were fed on time. On the other hand, Deepak helped us with our respective loads, carrying a load (with some of our stuff) that seemed more than heavy. But for Deepak, we might not have made it over Larke Pass. Both Raj and Deepak were cheerful and exceedingly helpful.

When one flies across the world for an epic adventure, it’s always a plus when logistics work out, and the experience is positive. This was EPIC. If we were to trek in Nepal again, we would return to Himalayan Masters.

Nothing but good things to say about our experience with this company. Super professional, extremely responsive in their communication, consistently thorough with information and punctual at every turn. All of our needs were met and then some. Very friendly people, with genuine smiles and a light-hearted approach to life that made every day a pleasure, even when the hardships of multi-day hiking creeped in.

The Langtang Helambu Trek was an unforgettable journey for me. The trails were perfect, passing through several traditional villages, forests, and mountains up and down, all along the calming melody of the river. Pikey Peak is the most stunning short trek that I have been too. This was a short yet an exciting trekking experience. I completed the 3 passes trek with Himalayan Masters. I’m very happy with the organisation and execution by Masters.

All the travel arrangements from airport transfers to getting to and back from the trek were well executed. Sandip got us to Lukla, via helicopter, when flights were not running due to bad weather.

Bashu our guide seamless got us through the Lukla airport chaos, back to Ramechhap. The van was waiting to take us back to Kathmandu.

The trek was initially very hard but Bashu our guide was there helping, supporting and encouraging. He was good company. He guided us through the maze of glacier crossings etc. The accommodation varied as did the food. Not as great as we got closer to EBC, which is the norm for the trek. Bashu made sure we were well looked after and recommended best options for food , based on location.

Our porter Ithen was amazing, carrying 25kg and still beating us up to all the passes. He was always there along the hike waiting asking how we were doing, with a smile.

All in all very happy with the trip and the Masters.

I did my Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek with Himalayan Masters this October. Everything about the trek and their team was perfect. I wanted to do the Everest Base Camp Trek, but Sandip suggested I do the Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek as I changed my mind about the peaceful trek.

Our guide, Kanchan, did a great job during the 20 days of the Kanchenjunga Trek. There was never a single day where I felt bored. The local people of the area were very friendly and respectful. I must recommend the Kanchenjunga Trek to you.

This trek was an incredible journey from start to finish! Starting in Jiri offered a unique and less crowded experience with stunning landscapes and cultural immersion. Raj was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, supportive, and always ensuring safety and comfort. His understanding of the local culture made the trek even more enriching.

The trek was physically challenging, especially with the altitude, but Raj’s pacing and encouragement made it manageable. The tea houses were basic but cozy, and the food was simple yet hearty. October’s clear skies provided breathtaking views of Everest and the surrounding peaks.

It was an excellent trekking experience to the Kapuche Glacier Lake. I went on a trek with my friends in January 2022. Thanks to all the instructions and help from Himalayan Masters, the journey went smoothly. They instructed me everything about food, weather, accommodation, etc. They were happy enough to provide all the assistance in arranging the vehicle, accommodation, trek route, and a few trekking gear.

One of the most exciting parts of this journey was the evening campfire at the Sikles homestay. We sang, danced, ate, and enjoyed until we went to bed. The owner of the homestay was so friendly that he also danced with us.

Himalayan Masters have been fantastic! I travelled solo to Nepal to summit Mera Peak in April 2024 and could not have had a better experience. From my first interaction with Sandip, I’ve felt that Himalayan Masters acts with integrity, offers competitive prices, and genuinely desires to give customers the best experiences in Nepal. I compared the prices, itineraries and reviews of ~10 travel agencies for multiple trips, and Himalayan Masters almost always came out on top in terms of bang for the buck.

Where other companies seemed to cut corners on their proposed itineraries (e.g. trekking in places where you’d spend a lot of time on the road), Sandip went above and beyond to ensure that the trip exceeded expectations. For example, he got me onto a helicopter from KTM to Lukla instead of the plane at no extra cost. He also arranged a circuit trek to visit Gokyo Lakes (going up via Dole, then down via the Renjo La Pass and Thame) to minimise going out and back along the same route.

Govinda, the guide, was friendly and experienced and went at whatever trekking pace I was comfortable with. He was the ideal guide and was flexible with plans to maximise time in my preferred locations. As my trip ended up being one day shorter than envisaged because of the weather, Sandip, please let me use the unused costs for a second trip I have booked with Himalayan Masters. Amazing Journey – Nov 2023

Sandeep from himalayan masters is the best. His team (Subas, Bage, and the others) was really helpful. They really care with us (7 people) and did excellent service. My team got altitude sickness and they were really responsive. We had expendables journey with himalayan masters. My mates and I went to the Chitwan National Park Tour with the Himalayan Masters. It was an excellent journey….we did jeep safari. We were lucky to see a one-horned rhino and Asiatic elephant. But we only could see Bengal tiger from a far, but yes we did see it. We might be visiting soon to see other places too.

My friend and I have just completed an 8 day Khopra Danda trek with the absolute man – Ram. My friend did most of the liaison with Sandip but my short interaction with him at the office was unreal. So friendly and accomodating – the sleeping bag and down jacket for the trip was also so appreciated! The trek itself was absolutely gorgeous. We struck luck with the weather and the views are breathtaking. Our trip wouldn’t have been so memorable without our phenomenal guide, Ram. Ram is the most warm, knowledgeable, patient and attentive guide!! He was more than willing to offer advice regarding certain elements of our trip, match pace during the trickier inclines, check in regularly or answer questions he’d probably answered a millions times before. My friends and I just finished the 13-day trek around Manaslu with guide Rishi – an unforgettable experience. From landing in Kathmandu and getting a ride from Sandip to our hotel, to the final send-off from Rishi, Himalayan Masters did not disappoint.

Our experience with Rishi made for a great trip. His local knowledge made us feel like we were getting an insider’s experience, especially as he knew and was friendly with most families who owned the teahouses where we stayed.

Highlights of the trip were basecamp day and watching the mountain sunrise as we approached Larke pass. The drives to and from the trek were a bit nerve-racking, so would suggest staying clear of monsoon season.

Pending the timing of your trip, it’s worth noting that there are a lot of major landslides during monsoon season.

The Himalayan Masters organized our trip to the Yala Peak perfectly. From picking us up at the airport, all through our trip to Kathmandu and the Himalayan mountains. Our guide Dipak provided us with everything we need in terms of food, drinks and a ton of very interesting knowledge about the nepalese culture and the Himalayas.
Even with some struggles we had climbing the peak, he was very helpful and adjusted quickly to the situation. Back in Kathmandu, the team continued helping us getting a hotel and providing us with very useful insider information about local foods and interesting hotspots. They connected us with some very safe, qualified drivers and a local guide, who showed us the most beautiful sides of Kathmandu. Our contact person Sandip was always quick to respond to every question we had, and helped us enjoy the trip without having to deal with bigger organization problems. They also paired us with two amazing porters, who not only carried our stuff but also entertained and informed us perfectly on our way up the mountain.
In summary, it was a great experience with the Himalayan Masters and our nice guide Dipak. If I were to book another trip to the Himalayas, it surely will be planned by this Company.

Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour was one of the best memories of my life. Himalayan Masters did a great job of booking the tour. The airport pick up and drop off even made the trip more joyous. Also, the pilots took great care of our safety along with explaining the mountain views.

I just finished the most incredible 10-day Khopra Danda trek with HM. We were incredibly blessed with great weather, especially during the season, and the views were outstanding, but the real highlight of our trip was our AMAZING guide, RAM!! RAM’s decades of knowledge guiding ment that he knew the areas (which were not as common or popular to trek) very well and was able to give us advice and help modify our trek mid way to ensure that we got the best experiences.

He checked in several times daily to see how we handled the altitude, the hiking and the experience, which made me and my friend feel incredibly safe. To top it off, he would ensure we were in the room with the best view at each tea house, would get us extra blankets and would freshly cut fruit daily for us to snack on after dinner.
In addition to this, my experience organising the trip through HM was very smooth.

Sandip even let me change my plans mid-hike, stay extra days in Pokhara, and then provided transport back to Chitwan instead of Kathmandu. Could not recommend this company more, whilst you might pay a little more then organising it all yourself with a guide like Ram every dollar was worth it.

We had the most wonderful experience with Himalayan Masters doing a combined trek of Manaslu + Nar Phu. We were guided by two great guides, one senior, one soon-to-be guide, with whom we had great fun, also on the difficult parts of the hike.

A few weeks ago, in March 2024, I finished my trekking to the everest base camp with a Himalayan masters and my guide bash Himalayan masters I had such a positive experience with this team; from the beginning, sandip helped me to make the best itinerary for me at an affordable price and with a swift response, dealing with Sandip is always great. He’s such an experienced operator and a great leader of the company.

I completed my 9-day trek to Everest base camp and returned by helicopter with my guide Bashu. He’s such a professional leader who helped me to reach the base camp; without his support and motivation, I don’t think I would be able to reach the base camp. The service from the Himalayan masters is top-notch; I get my first helicopter ride from the Gorakshep to Lukla and back in Kathamndu. The accommodations and food are remarkable in time—such a quality operator. I will be back again and trek with this company once again.

I recently returned from a trek to Nepal’s Upper Mustang organized with Himalayan Masters. I’m still reliving those incredible mountain vistas, walking through the region’s traditional villages and settlements, and of course, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries that have to be seen to be believed!

Sandip made the planning and preparation of the journey easy and straightforward and personally saw us off to our starting destination. Our guide, Rishi, emphasized that he and our porter, Namaraz, were there for us first and foremost, ensuring we understood each day’s walking plan and conditions and giving us flexibility when we needed rest days or alternative routes. When visiting the monasteries, he translated the monks’ explanation of the history and significance of these religious sites. He would always share fantastic insights into modern Nepalese life during the journey. One of my favourite memories of the trip was when he taught us the card game Dumbal after dinner one evening.

This being my first time in Nepal, I am extremely pleased we chose Himalayan Masters. They offer quality service and a great company-client ethic that I hope to be able to experience again one day.

The Upper Mustang trek was fantastic—the Arid Mountain landscape, the traditional culture, the 1000-year-old Tibetan Buddhist monasteries! Sandip’s organisation leading up to the trek was excellent; our guide, Rishi, was open and friendly and took good care of us, and our porter, Namaraz, uncomplainingly carried our bags up hills and through strong winds. Himalayan Masters is an impressive, growing, young company that is professional, welcoming, and enthusiastic—I highly recommend it.

I did the EBC + Gokyo trek with Himalayan Masters in May 2024. My tour booking took place through Sandip (the owner), my guide was Himesh, and my porter was Ravi.

I could not possibly recommend Himalayan Masters more. After having done a 16-day tour with them, I can see why their reviews are so consistently excellent.

Here are five main reasons to choose Himalayan Masters:

1. Integrity and honesty—if, like me, you are travelling to a new country for a non-inexpensive tour and perhaps even doing it solo, the #1 concern on your mind is whether you are dealing with a legitimate and honest party. You are in this case. At every turn, they have acted in my best interests, even when it was probably at an additional cost to them
2. Client-centricity: these guys are very passionate about their work. Every little detail of the trip was executed in a way that would optimise my experience. From the airport pick-up to the hiking experience, etc. For example, Sandip insisted on arranging my drop off at KTM airport even though I stayed in Kathmandu for several days beyond the trek. Another example – when there was something minor I didn’t like about one of my tea house rooms, Himesh immediately got me moved to another room that he felt would suit me better—without any question
3. Cost: Sandip and Himesh did not cut any corners with costs. They put me up in the best teahouses along the trek. They arranged for me to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla by helicopter instead of driving four hours to Ramechap for a flight to Lukla, which was what other hikers had to do at the time. This helicopter ride wasn’t part of my package and probably came at an additional cost to them, but at no extra cost to me. They also gave/lent me a lot of necessary gear for free: – a t-shirt, cap, down jacket, trekking poles, water bottle, water purification tablets, crampons, sleeping bag, etc. All of these make their already competitive pricing even more worth it
4. Skill and experience—their guides and porters are very good at what they do and will look after you well. They will be your best friends on the trek. Himesh was an absolute legend; the hike wouldn’t have been the same without him. He looked after me very well and made the entire trip more enjoyable thanks to his deep knowledge and engaging personality
5. Miscellaneous benefits of having a well-connected tour operator—for example, getting me onto a helicopter/plane when other hikers were unable to get onto one themselves!

It was a fantastic experience with Himalayan Masters, and I’ll be referring family and friends to them for future Nepal trips. I should add that at the start of my hike. I encountered a couple of trekkers who had just finished their tour with Himalayan masters and gave me the same feedback as above.

We have completed the Annapurna Circuit with Himalayan Masters, and it was great! The team assists you with planning and organization from the start, and even if we could only do it in the off-season during the monsoon, they took up the challenge! Trek was excellent and well organized; our guide, Dipak, was the best, funny, and generally great to have around with the “boys,”  Sebas and Nabaras! We would not have completed it without them! I can only recommend them for trekking in Nepal!

The Annapurna Circuit in August was a great experience! We were lucky to have clear views, sunny days, and great temperatures while hiking.

From planning to completing the trek, the experience was smooth, and I’ll remember it for a lifetime.

Sandip and the team helped us with the professional booking process, including swift communication and a detailed prep list. Upon our arrival, Rajendra welcomed us at their office, and we went through the trek day by day. He explained the route, which was planned according to the road and weather conditions during the monsoon season.

We’ve done the Annapurna Circuit trek with our guide, Dipak, and porters Nobaras and Sebas. We had an incredible time, which will be a memorable experience. It is not expected to do this trek during the off-season, but the boys did not hesitate and helped us arrange and experience this trek with us. Each day was very different, and we all got sick at some point. Dipak was always very attentive to and helpful in managing our health issues, so in the end, we all had a fantastic time. We would not have been able to do this without our porters, the lovely guys, and Dipak, without whose humour we would not have gotten too far. Thanks for everything!

We did the Manaslu circuit with Himalayan Masters in a group of nine people and couldn’t have found a better company to do this with!

Before the trip, we emailed and backed them up, and Sandip was super helpful and patiently answered all of our questions (in peak season, sometimes it could take a bit longer since he is still leading tours himself). The communication was very professional, and we felt well taken care of! Once we arrived, Raj, the office manager, explained the itinerary and provided us with the down jackets and sleeping bags we needed at higher altitudes. He is a lovely guy, and we ended up chatting with him over some masala tea.

During the tour, our guides Dipak and Arjun went above and beyond to ensure we had the most incredible experience possible and turned our group into a small trekking family, sharing laughter and some challenging moments! Dipak is an experienced and knowledgeable guide with many connections in the villages in the Manaslu region. He would ensure we get the best accommodations, restaurants, and tea houses for our breaks! Every evening, he gave a detailed briefing about what to expect the next day and a motivational speech when needed. Arjun, our assistant guide, spread joy to the whole group by always having the biggest smile and ensuring everyone was comfortable (thank you so much for bringing tea and apple pie to base camp!).

The trek itself is just stunning. Before coming to Nepal, we were indecisive about whether to do the Annapurna or the Manaslu circuit, but after the trek, we can wholeheartedly and 100% recommend the Manaslu circuit. Opposed to the Annapurna circuit, you never walk on roads with jeeps (just donkeys), and from day two on, it’s all hiking trails. We were so happy that the Himalayan Master’s itinerary allowed for Pungyen Gompa and a day trip to Manaslu base camp. Those were two highlights of our trip. Almost all the other groups we met had to choose between the two. The day trip to Basecamp was challenging but so rewarding (and we felt very well acclimatized for the pass afterwards!).
We didn’t have a porter, so we carried the backpacks ourselves. For us, it wasn’t as complicated as we expected (we are used to doing multi-day hikes in the Alps), and it felt like an outstanding achievement carrying our stuff over Larke Pass (be sure to pack as light as possible).

Overall, the trek was one of the best experiences of our lifetime! If you are still looking for a trekking company to go with, don’t look any further and go with the Himalayan masters! Thank you so much to the whole team; we’re already thinking about which trek to do next with you guys!

I had a great adventure during this expedition. The first plan is to go to EBC but during the bad weather, there is no flight to Lukla. During dalbhat lunch, Sandip helped us to change our route: ACT. We hiked into many kinds of treks, all of them are very beautiful. Sandip, PK, and Binot helped us a lot and nurtured us with all our conditions. Thank you, Himalayan Masters!

Himalayan Masters made my trip to Nepal phenomenal. From the start, I was a bit nervous about travelling alone as a 22-year-old female in Nepal especially on a two-week-long trek through the Himalayas. I reached out to Sandip a few weeks before my plans to arrive with my concerns and he made every effort to try to find someone who would be interested in my same dates when we did not find someone, he made me feel completely comfortable going alone and made sure my needs were met. Upon my arrival in Kathmandu, Sandip picked me up directly from the airport and took me to get gear. He was so sweet and even lent me some of his gear (his beautiful summit suit and other items) since he had just gotten back from a trip himself. He even offered me his own trekking boots to borrow for my trek but they were a tad too big. He was so generous and helpful with the preparation of my trip and truly made me feel like I was valued as a customer, I could not be more grateful, especially being a solo female backpacker, I was used to very different treatment. When my trip started, we had a one-day delay from a storm, and because Sandip knew of my tight date restrictions, he made sure that I was put on the first helicopter the next morning to start my trek. My guide was Pradip, who was equally fantastic. He was really fun to talk to all day and always included me when meeting with the other guides. He was very attentive and super kind, I felt very comfortable the entire trip and had so much fun. I was impressed by the accommodations, with my EBC package purchased, I always was able to get whatever meals I wanted and I could see both Sandip and Pradip were always working to be sure I had a comfortable or private room if available. At one point in the trip, I was debating extending to Gokyo Lakes in addition to EBC, Sandip was incredibly helpful with calling places for me to see if this was possible with my date restrictions. I, however, decided to not extend because I was feeling ill from altitude sickness, which Pradip was so helpful with and supported me through reaching Everest Base Camp. Pradip was especially helpful when on day 13 of 15, I became incredibly sick when we reached Namche Bazaar for the second time on the way down. I could not stop throwing up, getting sick, and passing out. I believe that this was a mix of altitude sickness and food sickness. Sandip was incredibly helpful when helping me with this, he was in contact with my father who was back in the US giving him updates on my condition and he organized a helicopter to get me from Namche and take me to Kathmandu to the hospital. Sandip met me at the airport there in an ambulance took me to the hospital and made sure that I was well taken care of. I had to stay four days in the Kathmandu hospital before flying home, and Sandip came every day to check on me and to be sure that I was getting everything I needed. He even drove me back to his office and got me a hotel room so that I could nap for a few hours before my flight after my hospital discharge. He then drove me to the airport and left me with very kind words. I cannot recommend Himalayan Masters enough, they are a phenomenal company that obviously truly cares about their patrons. Sandip is a wonderful human and I would trust him to make the best trip for anybody!

We hiked the Manaslu Circuit with Himalayan Masters in April and felt very well taken care of from the first Email contact through to the hike itself. We’d recommend them to anyone who wants to have the planning certainty of booking from abroad but still get a small local agency with a good price and service package.

We made contact from home already but committed only once we were in Kathmandu and able to compare on the ground. The communication with Sandip was excellent also via email: prompt, in good English and knowledgeable. We later learned he is an experienced guide himself, still leading summit hikes, which we think is positive.
H.M. helped us pick the trek and get all the necessary equipment in preparation.

We (as a couple) hiked with a guide and a porter, Ram and Baikuntha, who turned out to be the best company we could have asked for on the hike. Baikuntha brought our belongings quickly and reliably across the mountains and was also one of the more ‘present’ porters, trying to learn English with us, walking by our side and not always sprinting ahead. We had those typical stomach issues early in the trek and Ram and Baikuntha quickly figured out a way for us to adapt our stops and route to something manageable.

Last but not least I want to send a special thanks to Ram who supported us every step along the way, coaching, sharing knowledge, and entertaining. He was approachable, reliable and dedicated to his work, available for us whenever we needed help. Thank you!

With the recent change to Nepal’s solo trekker policy, I was initially sceptical about seeking the support of both a trekking company and a guide. I can say upon reflection on the Manaslu Circuit those fears were completely unfounded.

Himalayan Masters and the owner Sandip were incredibly attentive, making the entire planning and arrivals process effortless.

On the trek, I was paired with Govinda, one of Himalayan Masters’ most experienced guides, who have, at the time of writing completed 31 Manaslu treks. I could not have asked for a better guide to give me the full experience of the trek and of Nepal. His attention to detail, appreciation of risk and willingness to share both language and culture have been outstanding.

For anyone considering choosing Himalayan Masters or wavering over whether they should employ a guide; I can assure you, it will be the single best decision you could make if you’re coming to trek in Nepal.

Travelling with Himalayan Masters and doing the 12-day Manaslu circuit trek has been a fantastic journey.
The owner, Sandip, has been very professional and has provided us with all the information we needed to travel in safe and comfortable conditions. Highly recommend Himalayan Masters for trekking in Nepal. Absolutely top-tier local company, and extremely professional. From the moment we contacted Sandip, to getting dropped off at the airport after a month in Nepal, every detail was taken care of.

Our guides Ramesh and Porter Jiba were fantastic, very well-organised and focused on our well-being and safety at all times. Each night, our oxygen levels were checked to make sure we were handling the altitude. They constantly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, anticipating every need. On top of this, they were both such lovely and caring people, I loved getting to know them and it really made the trip extra special.

The day we crossed Larke Pass there was very deep snow, making it extremely difficult. But Ramesh was by my side all day with a smile on his face, giving me the energy I needed to make it over the past.

The company was also flexible, allowing us to change our plans as we went. For example, they were able to adjust the schedule during the trek to account for high snow levels and illness to ensure we all made it across the pass. In the end, members of our group wanted to finish in different parts of Nepal and they also facilitated that for us at no extra charge.

The price for the trip was also very reasonable compared to other companies and the level of service provided.

I loved trekking with Ramesh and Jiba so much that after I finished the Manaslu circuit, I immediately booked another trek for a few days later.

I’ve visited Nepal several times and have to say the trek with Himalayan Masters was the best experience I’ve had with trekking companies in Nepal. Very professional staff, from the organisers to guides to porters. Sandip organised our Manaslu Circuit trek which was such a great experience and really went out of his way to make sure we had a great time in the mountains. Our guide Surje was really helpful and kind, and overall would highly recommend Himalayan Masters to anyone looking for a reliable trekking company for any of the awesome trips throughout the country and beyond- you won’t regret it!

This local agency is excellent and I would highly recommend anyone to book their trip through them, they will take care of almost everything and make you feel safe throughout the trip. Our Guide was Ram and he was by far the best, most caring and kind Guide we could have wished for. He helped us through the most difficult and dangerous passages of the trek and always checked on us to make sure we were feeling well. One note of caution: the Manaslu Trek is much more difficult than it seems. The trails are consistently very steep, making the long days very exhausting and particularly when the weather turns bad it may be too dangerous to cross the lake pass, in which case you will have to turn back.

We have such an incredible experience on the Manaslu Circuit Trek. From the minute we landed to the time that we flew out Sandip had organised everything perfectly. I have travelled to Nepal many times before and this was by far the best trek I have ever done due to the organisation and professionalism of the Himalayan Masters Team. Our guide Surje did an excellent job throughout the trek and his experience and knowledge allowed us all to enjoy our time on the mountain. His humour and jokes had us laughing our way over the Larkya La Pass. Our porters did an excellent effort to carry our bags and have them ready at each stop before our arrival. Overall I can only express gratitude towards Himalayan Masters for making my time on the mountain one that I will never forget 🙌. This was my husband’s and my first time hiking in Nepal. We have done several multi-day hikes before but none at this altitude. Himalayan Masters quickly became our first choice because of the reviews and Sandip’s excellent customer service. He was always very responsive and we could tell he was just a fun and nice guy. We chose the Manaslu circuit trek because it sounded quieter than the others and less on the road, and we were really happy with the hikes.

Our group consisted of three other people, Raj our guide, and Pitanbar our porter. Raj was a really great guide and he knew how to interact with everyone and have a lot of fun. The pit was also very kind and hard-working. Our group came upon some unfortunate weather later in the trek and it was always unsure whether we would actually be able to make the Larke pass due to storms. Raj was pretty open with us regarding the weather and being flexible with staying in certain places and seeing how things go.

On the day that we planned to complete the pass a storm hit. All of the groups that were at the beginning camp (Dharamsala) ended up completing the pass despite the weather which risked everyone’s safety. Multiple guides and porters afterwards stated that it was the worst weather they had ever seen in their lives. It was shocking to me that every single group chose to take the risk of crossing despite the terrible weather. We are thankful that everyone is safe now and that Himalayan Masters were open to listening to our concerns and implementing changes. Sandip agreed that having GPS tracking for each guide will need to be the norm in order to ensure the safety of everyone and he promised to implement the changes by next year. After having this serious discussion with Himalayan Masters I would feel confident booking a tour with them again. They were very respectful and good listeners, and they helped to make sure that this experience would not negatively impact our trip, and not happen again.

5 friends and I just completed the Annapurna circuit guided by the Himalayan masters team who essentially managed every part of our trip from start to finish. Before arriving in Nepal, Sandip had organised our entire itinerary and provided us with all the items we needed to prepare for the trip. Additionally, the team was very responsive to any questions we had in the lead up to the trip. Once we arrived, and throughout the course of the trek, the HM team were very organised and supportive. Their ability to successfully manage the itinerary and navigate any unexpected surprises (inevitable when travelling in Nepal) highlighted their expertise and experience. On top of this, they were incredibly lovely, warm and kind people. Definitely recommend!

A review of our trip to the Everest view hotel with our guide Pasang. Me and my mom really enjoyed our time with him. He was very flexible and kind. He was able to change our schedule to our liking and capabilities. He was a knowledgeable guide and kept us informed and safe throughout our trek. He was a good leader and worked well coordinating our porter too. He even carried our stuff towards the end when the days got long and our legs were tired.
My favourite part of his guide was that he was relatable and he was down to earth. I would really recommend him for other tours. He is a really good addition to Himalayan masters

My name is Julia Wijaya from Indonesia, I went to Annapurna Circuit and 1D city tour (Bhaktapur and Kathmandu) on May 12 – 22 May 2023 with Sandip and Pradip as a guide and 6 porters (Robi, Elia, Suleman, Nikesh, Binot, Ram) so AMAZING I feel so blessed and grateful to have them. They always support & taking care of me in every detail and give me positive vibes. Especially when one of our members almost die because of altitude sickness, Sandip and all of the porters work so hard to take him down even though I know they are so tired but still put smiles on and good vibes.
The view of Annapurna is amazing especially when we take the upper road from Upper Pisang to Manang, thank you for letting us have a choice. Finally 9 from 11 people successful reach Thorong La.

About the accommodation is good, clean, comfortable, good food (you can choose anything you want) and very very good service from Pradhip and crew.
for transport, we choose to have a “Private Jeep” from Kathmandu to Chame and Mukhtinah to Pokhara and last day we take a “Tourist Bus” from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

This experience was worth the cost !!

I’ve visited Nepal several times and have to say the trek with Himalayan Masters was the best experience I’ve had with trekking companies in Nepal. Very professional staff, from the organisers to guides to porters. Sandip organised our Manaslu Circuit trek which was such a great experience and really went out of his way to make sure we had a great time in the mountains. Wir haben bei Himalayan Masters aufgrund der guten Bewertungen bei Tripadvisor einen Trek ins Langtang Valley mit der Yala Peak Besteigung angefragt, nachdem wir mit einer vorherigen Organisation nicht zufrieden waren.

Von der ersten Kontaktaufnahme hat alles ausgezeichnet funktioniert und selbst kurzfristige Änderungen der Teilnehmer wurde von Sandip problemlos gemanagt. Auch unvorhergesehene Änderungen des Treks aufgrund des Wetters wurden innerhalb kürzester Zeit nach unseren Wünschen berücksichtigt.

Unser Guide Dipak hat die ganze Zeit eine super Betreuung übernommen und hat die Wanderung mit interessanten Informationen angereichert. Man hat sich die ganze Zeit absolut sicher gefühlt und man konnte die nepalesische Gastfreundschaft immer spüren.

Auch für die Organisationen von etwas sightseeing und einer Food-Tour in KTM standen Sandip und Dipak zur Verfügung- und das alles zu angemessen Preisen.

Bei dieser Organisation ist das ein Rund-Um-Sorglos Paket. Sandip, der erfahrene Hauptverantwortliche von Himalayan Masters kümmert sich um alle Bedürfnisse seiner Kunden. Alle Planung, von Unterkünften über Autofahrten bis Mittagessen, hat die Organisation sehr zufriedenstellend übernommen.
Für den in jeder Hinsicht beeindruckenden Langtang Trek wurde uns der Guide Dipak zur Verfügung gestellt. Er kennt sich nicht nur auf den Treks super aus und hat Wissen über die Region sondern ist auch ein sehr netter und unkomplizierter Zeitgenosse. Wir haben die Zeit mit Ihm und den ganzen Trek sehr genossen, obwohl wir den Yala Peak aufgrund eines unerwarteten Schneesturms nicht erreichen konnten.
Für den ersten Trek haben wir uns auch dazu entscheiden Träger für den Großteil unserer Sachen zu buchen, die waren auch sehr nett.
Danach haben wir noch unerwartet einige Tage in Kathmandu verbracht, deren Planung (mit Wünschen von uns) auch Himalayan master sehr zufriedenstellend übernommen hat!
Ich kann nur sagen, dass ich mir meine nächste Erfahrung im Himalaya nicht ohne Himalayan Masters vorstellen kann.

We recently completed the Langtang Valley trek with Himalayan Masters.
Communication before the trip was excellent – we were able to adapt our itinerary as required and Sandip was always quick to respond to any questions.
Transfers were all smooth and arrangements in Kathmandu were faultless,
The trek itself was superb. Rishi, our guide, was excellent – not only was his English perfect, but he was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Rishi was very aware of our needs throughout the trek and always went the extra mile to ensure that everything was perfect.
Namaraj, our porter was also great.
The Langtang Valley was as beautiful as we had hoped, and under Rishi’s guidance, we made it to the peaks we were aiming for.

Manaslu Circuit Trip with Himalayan Masters:
For the fall of 2020, we planned a trip to Nepal and weren’t sure whether we should book it through a german agency or with a local one. Needless to say, we are 100% satisfied that we booked the trip through Himalayan Masters. The communication was professional from the very beginning and from the moment we were picked up at Kathmandu airport we were taken care of perfectly.

Nepal is beautiful and especially the Manaslu area. But since travel experiences are not (just) made by the places you visit but also by the people that you meet, here is to our guide Dipak and all the wonderful people we met along the way who have been so welcoming and sincere with us! Without exaggeration, this trip has been the purest experience of our lives. And if the trip is measured in friends rather than miles, we must say this trip was as good as it gets!!

Our guide Dipak left nothing to be desired, shone with perfect local knowledge and took care of us so touchingly at any time that a regular thank you seems way too little. Dipak is not only a guide you can rely on 100% but also extremely empathetic, amiable and was always there when we needed him. We had so much fun together, that only after a few hours the trip almost felt like trekking with a good friend.

Since we are both relatively fit and also coped well with the altitude, Dipak kept suggesting additional excursions and routes into our original planning so that we got to see the most beautiful spots such as the Pungyen Gompa Monastery or even Manaslu Base Camp (highly recommended!). In retrospect, this was an unbeatable advantage compared to one of the big tour providers with large and inhomogeneous groups – we were flexible at all times and could shape the tour according to our wishes.

In this way, a clear recommendation to travel to Nepal with the Himalayan Masters! Many thanks to our guide Dipak, our porter Suren and of course to Sandip for the great organization! Nepal will definitely remain in our memories, but most of all in our hearts!

Phenomenal winter Langtang Valley trek with “Sandy” and “Pete”! We are a couple, 48 and 55, from the US. I’m vegetarian. Sandeep, the owner of Himalayan Masters, was highly responsive and professional from our very first contact. My partner had been concerned I wasn’t in shape enough to successfully complete the trek, but Sandy’s mindset coaching, alongside his flexible approach and insistence that I could do it if I just took it slow and gave myself the time I needed. He was so right! One of the hardest things I have done physically, yet I felt strong and solid throughout. Petamba also baked me a birthday cake for my 48th in the mountains. When it came the final day, my partner peeled off and did the more difficult peak with Sandy, and Pete guided me to the more manageable 13,500-foot peak. Pete is a wonderful guide in his own right- patient, careful, and encouraging, and with a safety-first approach.
The Langtang trek is spectacular, and Himalayan Masters made it easy. Can’t recommend them enough- we are already talking about our next trek with them!

I contacted Sandip from Himalayan Masters about a trip to Nepal in early 2022. I was hopeful of doing Everest base camp and maybe a climb of a 6000m peak. From the second we first connected Sandip cared so much about my trip and my needs.

After arriving in Nepal Sandip greeted me at the airport and gave me a beautiful flower necklace. He dropped me at my hotel and made sure I checked in okay. He was always a message away if I needed anything.

I started my trek 4 days after arriving and my guide was Govinda. Govinda was an amazing guide with awesome English. Govinda and I instantly connected and over the next 17 days, we had an absolute ball. Over 17 days I don’t have a smile left my or Govinda’s face.

My trip to the Himalayas was Truly life-changing. I would recommend anyone considering a trip to Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet to contact Sandip from Himalayan Masters for a great value package.

I would also recommend Govinda as a guide if you’re looking for a friendly fun loving human who genuinely cares about you and your needs. I’m lucky enough to call Govinda my brother now :)

Trip of a life time!

My second time back with Himalayan Masters and they exceeded my expectations yet again. Manaslu and Tsum valley trek organised by Sandip was a great itinerary and Dipak was an amazing guide that truly went above and beyond the duties of a trekking guide. He supported our group through all our ups and downs and we certainly couldn’t have done it without his help. The 3 porters, Syren, Pawan, and Pitumber also went above their duties to help cook, serve us fresh fruit every day and keep spirits high! I would recommend Himalayan Masters to anyone who is interested in trekking in Nepal. Miss it already

Couldn’t recommend Himalayan Masters more for anyone looking for a trekking trip in Nepal

As a first-timer to Nepal and any trekking trips, Sandip was professional from our first conversation with him – he was able to help us with trail selection (based on our experience and preferences); trip preparation (such as equipment to purchase and bring). Items that are included/excluded as part of the package are also clearly written on the website (and fully delivered, if not more). What we really liked was how flexible trip planning was and how responsive Sandip was in answering our queries and helping us prepare for the trip.

As we arrive in Nepal – all accommodation, pick-ups and other transportation are well-arranged. The package was designed so that Himalayan masters also provide some necessary mountaineering gear – so all in all It was a truly hassle-free experience and we could focus on enjoying the trek and views Everest has to offer. All concerns we had with regard to adapting to the food / high altitude / cold weather / physical fitness are being well taken care of. The team is very experienced in high-altitude trekking and we could trust them with any questions we had. Sandip is also really just one message away most of the time so any questions were being addressed promptly. Due to weather conditions, or the flight from Lukla back to the city was cancelled – Sandip was very professional throughout and helped us arrange alternatives so that we could catch our international flight.

Everything aside, we set off to Nepal knowing that we’d enjoy the mountains, but the team at Himalayan Master just made you fall in love with it more. Sandip, our porter Bage is both genuine and really passionate about the mountains. They shared so many things about nature, culture and their experiences on the treks which made the trip so much more interesting. The way they talked about the peaks and expeditions they’ve had still stuck with me. You will on one hand be amazed at how well-versed they are with the Everest region and its everchanging conditions; and on the other hand, just great people to be around and spend time with.

Will definitely go back someday for more trails and would hope to trek with Himalayan Master again!
