Govinda Rai is an experienced trekking leader born and raised in the Kavreplanchowk district of Nepal. He started working as a porter and, soon after gaining knowledge and experience in this field, started working as a licensed guide in Nepal.

Now he has an experience of more than 12 years in the field of trekking industry. He started working in this field at the age of 22. With a keen interest and expertise in the field of trekking, he is serving as a senior trekking leader at Himalayan Masters.

Govinda has been to some of the most famous treks in Nepal. Such as the Manaslu Circuit Trek, Tsum Valley, Nar Phu Valley, Everest Base Camp Trek, Three Passes Trek, Langtang Trek, and Annapurna Circuit.

Govinda has a love for travelling, which has led him to India to explore more. As he wants to travel to more countries in the future, we wish him the best on his tours. Even though he wants to travel to as many countries as possible, he says his love for Nepal will remain the same.

Like most of the guides, Govinda is passionate about mountain climbing. He hasn’t done one yet, but we hope that he conquers the mountain he has dreamed of.

Trekking and tourism have a big impact on Govinda’s life. He balances his time between family and tourism. Govinda feels that understanding the inner heart of the client will forever make them remember him for the services he provided.
