Kanchan Pokharel

Kanchan Pokharel, a senior trekking guide working at Himalayan Masters, was born and raised in Dhawa, Gorkha. He started his career by working as a porter for one year. Then, after gaining experience with the treks and trails, he started working as a licensed trek guide in Nepal.

In 2013 AD, he entered the field of tourism and began his trekking journey. Since his neighbouring people were engaged in the tourism field, he wanted to join the same. Now, Kanchan has trekked to some of Nepal’s most famous and remote trails.

Kanchan Pokharel has been to Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek, Makalu Circuit Trek, Upper Mustang Trek, Everest Three Passes Trek, Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Circuit Trek, Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek and all other treks.

In addition to trekking in Nepal, Kanchan has a keen interest in peak climbing. Kanchan believes that tourism has drastically changed his daily life, from economic status to happily trekking and living his life happily.

Kanchan has made a huge change not only in his life but also in the Himalayan Masters Team. He has been working with Himalayan Masters for a long time and is one of the highly recommended guides in the team.
