Here’s a detailed breakdown of the elevation gain:

Kathmandu → Pokhara → Nayapul → Birethanti → Ulleri

Starting from Kathmandu (1,400 m/4,593 ft), you take a flight or drive to Pokhara (822 m/2697 ft). From Pokhara, a drive to Nayapul (1070 m/3510 ft) leads to the trek’s starting point. A scenic walk through Birethanti leads to a steep ascent to Ulleri (2070 m/6791 ft). This day involves climbing nearly 1000 meters (3280 ft), making it an intense start.

Ulleri → Banthanti → Nangethati → Ghorepani

A steady climb through rhododendron forests takes you to Ghorepani (2874 m/9429 ft). The altitude gain on this day is around 810 meters (2660 feet), offering beautiful Himalayan views.

Ghorepani → Poon Hill → Tadapani

An early morning hike to Poon Hill (3210 m/10,531 ft) rewards trekkers with a panoramic sunrise view. The trail then descends towards Tadapani (2610 m/8563 ft), where you will be having both elevation gain and loss on this day.

Tadapani → Gurjung Village → Sinuwa
