Annapurna Base Camp Trek Weather
Annapurna Base Camp weather mainly experiences four seasons: summer, spring, autumn, and winter. The weather of this region varies in different seasons/elevations. Roughly February to May and September to November are the best time of the year to make a Himalayan hike. Trekking during these months offers you stunning views of snow-capped mountains and blooming rhododendron forest throughout the trail.
During spring and autumn, the temperature goes up to a maximum of 17 degrees Celsius and does not decline below 8 degrees Celsius.
Jun, July, and August fall under monsoon season in which mostly rains in lower elevation making the trail muddy and sometimes blocking the trail due to landslides. However, it does not usually rain in the Himalayas. If it rains, it often lasts for a few minutes.
Regardless of the seasons, the Himalayas regions in high elevation are likely to have chilly climates throughout the year. Especially winter is the least preferred season for planning Annapurna base camp trek. However, if the trek is organized with good preparation and effective trekking gear, you can enjoy the trip probably in a low cost without any crowd along the trail.
