Day 01: Trek from Sundarijal to Chisapani (2215 m)

Total Ascent: 815 meters (2674 ft) from Kathmandu to Chisapani
Overnight: Chisapani
On the first day, we will pick you up from your hotel and then head towards Sundarijal. This small town, situated in the foothills of Kathmandu, is the starting point of our trekking journey. It takes around an hour to reach Sundarijal from Thamel.
There is also an army checkpoint where the officials will check our permits. Our Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking passes through various villages within Shivapuri National Park.
The path until Borlang Bhanjyang via Mulkharka is an uphill trek.
After trekking for about 2.5 hours, about 4-5 km, we will reach Mulkharka, which is going to be our first lunch station. We can spend a couple of hours here for lunch, then again continue to trek towards Chisapani, where we will stay overnight.
After lunch, the trek route passes through the dense oak and rhododendron forest. After trekking for about 2 hours, we will reach Borlang Bhanjyang (2430 m/7972 ft). The route thereafter takes a slightly downhill route.
With an additional half-hour trek down from Borlang Bhanjyang, we will reach the hilltop of Chisapani to catch an excellent sunset view over various mountain vistas.
About Mulkharka
Mulkharka is a beautiful local village on the trek, located at an altitude of 1855 meters (6086 ft). The village is located within the forest area, which provides a good forest view. You may be able to see wild birds and animals from here.

There are 1 or 2 basic teahouses offering basic Dal Bhat and curry, noodles, biscuits, and other snacks. They also provide simple yet clean and comfortable accommodations.

The trekking route for the 2nd day is rather exciting and challenging, as you will be trekking for about 7-8 hours through local villages with scenic views of mountains.
Day 2 of our trek starts with a delicious breakfast around 7-7:30 am. Then, we will start our trek at around 8 am. The trek route follows a mix of trek trails and roadway on a somewhat plain path to Jhule.
Jhule is about 11 km away from Chisapani, which takes about 3-4 hours to cover. It is also our lunch station for today. After having a delicious lunch, we will continue our trek to Nagarkot.
After walking for just about an hour (2 km) on a downhill path through several local villages, we will reach Jarsingpauwa. If not in Jhule, then you can opt to have lunch here also.
Then, with an additional 5 km trek, about 1.5 to 2 hours, the next beautiful village you can visit to explore is Kattike. From there, Nagarkot is just about 1-1.5 hours trek, about 3 km.
Abou Jhule
Jhule is a beautiful village on the way from Chisapani to Nagarkot, with about 30 local houses. The people living there are engaged in agriculture. Therefore, it could be a perfect chance to observe the traditional farming system in Nepal.

There are about 3-4 good teahouses, offering warm and comfortable accommodation and food from the menu. You can order all sorts of Nepali, western, and Chinese foods available on the menu. They also provide services like hot water, hot and cold showers, Wi-Fi, etc.

Day 3 is the last day of our Chisapani Nagarkot Trek Nepal.
We need to wake early in the morning and hike up to the Nagarkot View Point to observe an awe-inspiring sunrise view over the mountains. It is one of the most captivating sights on the whole trip.
Feel free to spend some moments immersing yourself in the sun’s rays rising between the mountain peaks. Remember to capture the view of sunrise not just with the lenses of your camera but also with the lenses of your eye.
After spending a couple of hours on the Nagarkot Hilltop, we will return to our hotel and have a delicious breakfast. After that, we will head back to the final stop of our journey, Kathmandu.
In between the way, you can see several local traditional villages and their lifestyle. Not only that but also you can opt to go for Nagarkot Zipline for a thrilling zipline ride. Or, you can go around for a Nagarkot day trip and visit the local market. Additionally, there is also a waterfall and a small dam nearby that you can visit.
Once you are back in Kathmandu, you will find a lot of exciting things to do. On the way to Kathmandu from Nagarkot, you can take a detour and visit Changunarayan Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, or Patan Durbar Square, which are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sie.
