Sandip Dhungana, the founder and Managing Director of Himalayan Masters Adventure and Travel Company, was born and raised in Dhading. Being raised in the mountain part of Nepal, just at the base of Ganesh Himal, his love for mountains and hills started growing within him.

Sandip Dhungana attended school in his hometown, the Dhading district. As he grew up in the tourism industry, where everyone around him was engaged in tourism, he, too, became a tour and travel enthusiast.

At just 17, Sandip began his career as a trekking porter, carrying heavy loads across Nepal’s rugged terrain. Working as a porter, he was humbled and gained a lot of knowledge in the field of tourism.

Accepting his qualifications and interest, he quickly moved up to a trekking guide. From 2017 to 2021, he spent five memorable years leading adventurers through some of the Nepalese most popular trekking routes.

In 2021, Mr. Sandip began his own company known as Himalayan Masters Adventure and Travel Company. His vision was clear: to help the guests receive unique, secure, and outstanding services and products focused on the mountain’s geographic environment, arts, and cultures.

Today, Himalayan Masters has become the leading and the most reputed company in the trekking and travelling sector in terms of services and travel packages.

Sandip is not just a guide but also has the tourist soul in him. He has trekked to all the popular places in Nepal. Including the difficult Everest Base camp, the remote Manaslu Circuit, the scenic Annapurna Circuit, and many more.

Along with treks and tours, Sandip is keenly interested in Nepal’s peak climbing. Sandip has summited Lobuche Peak (6,119m) three times, Island Peak (6,189m) five times & Mera Peak (6,451m) twice. These are seen in the show of his adventurous nature and passion for the mountains.

Off late, Sandip is not restricted to Nepal alone. His adventurous travels have made him visit Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

These travels changed their outlook and motivation to work according to international standards when providing travellers with services like Himalayan Masters.

Apart from being a young entrepreneur, Sandip is a hard-working social worker at the Himalayan Hearts Foundation. Sandip is socially responsible and gives back to society. He is supporting education-building schools in Dhading and supporting more than 400 students in Dhading.
