Annapurna Region

Annapurna Region is one of the best areas located in the north-central part of Nepal offering varieties of trails for all kinds of trekkers around the world. It is the home of diverse trekking routes. Annapurna Base Camp is one of the well-known destinations.

Annapurna I (8091m), the major attraction of the region is situated at the center. At the west of Annapurna I, another eight-thousander Dhaulagiri (8167m) stands. The Kali Gandaki River flows between these two giant mountains creating the wonderful Kali-Gandaki gorge which is also the world’s deepest gorge.

Mount Annapurna is the dangerous and deadliest mountain in the world. The unpredictable climate, the high-velocity wind, and snowfall throughout the year are some of its reasons. Mt. Annapurna is supposed to be climbed first among the 14 peaks of the world over 8000 meters.

Besides, Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri, the region includes some other Nepal’s famous mountains like Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and colossal Annapurna Massif. The panoramic views of the terraced farmland, snow-covered mountains, and scenic natural beauty attract thousands of visitors from around the world every year.

Exciting Annapurna Regions

The traditional villages of Gurungs, Manang is and Thakali is the cultural hub of this region that represents almost all the Himalayan region of South Asia. Annapurna region offers varieties of trails. The three-day trek to the month-long treks exploring higher altitude Himalayas is one of the options. The novice trekkers with a very short time in Nepal and the family trekkers with kids find the Ghorepani-Poonhill trek amazing.

The experienced trekkers wishing to spend a long time in nature can do the full Annapurna Circuit trek or Annapurna Base Camp trek in combination with many other routes in the region. A month or two is not long for the trekkers who have a great interest in nature, stunning Himalayan views, and local cultures.

Many of the trails in the Annapurna region are full of crowds, especially during the peak seasons. However, this region also offers you some off-the-beaten trails where you can fully enjoy the trip without any hustle and bustle of the crowd. The region is exploring many trekking routes and some of the routes are really hidden that offer more astonishing views and wonderful experiences.
