The masters of Manaslu My partner and I used Himalayan Masters to trek the Manaslu Circuit, which included day trips to Manaslu Base Camp and the Tibetan border. Sandip was communicative throughout the booking process and provided us with great advice which enabled us to tailor the trip to our needs. We really appreciated having a run through of the trek the day before. The trek itself was heavenly. Our guide, Govinda, is highly experienced and professional, we felt that he really looked after us throughout the trip. He ensured our safety and paced the walk well. As we were slightly off season there were very few trekkers - we only saw one other couple - which made the trip even more special. The Manaslu Circuit trek is a must. You’ll partly walk on a road for one of the days at the beginning but that’s it, then it’s just mountain paths deep in the Himalayas. We had such a brilliant time that we are hoping to return to do another trek - and we’d most definitely use Himalayan Masters to organise this!
Absolutely superb Upper Mustang trek - highly recommend Himalayan Masters! Recently returned from a trek to Nepal's Upper Mustang organized with Himalayan Masters...I'm still reliving those incredible mountain vistas, walking through the region's traditional villages and settlements, and of course Tibetan Buddhist monasteries that have to be seen to be believed! Sandip made the planning and preparation of the journey easy and clear, and personally saw us off to our starting destination. Our guide, Rishi, emphasized that he and our porter Namaraz were there for us first and foremost; always ensuring we understood the walking plan and conditions for each day, and giving us flexibility when we needed rest days or alternative routes. When visiting the monasteries, he translated the monks' explanation of the history and significance of these religious sites, and during the journey he would always share fantastic insights into modern Nepalese life. One of my favourite memories of the trip was him teaching us the card game Dumbal after dinner one evening. This being a first time in Nepal, I am extremely pleased we chose Himalayan Masters. Quality service and great company-client ethic that I hope to be able to experience again one day.

Gokyo lakes trek with Himalayan Masters We had a fantastic trek to Gokyo lakes with Bibek as our guide. A special thankyou to Bibek who was amazing and took great care of us, always attentive to our needs, informative and supportive. He always got us the best tea houses to stay in and organized a helicopter for us when our flight was canceled due to bad Weather. World-class tour operator, without a doubt I’ll be back and hiring them again I did the EBC + Gokyo trek with Himalayan Masters in May 2024. My tour booking took place through Sandip (the owner), my guide was Himesh, and my porter was Ravi. I could not possibly recommend Himalayan Masters more and after having done a 16 day tour with them, I can see why their reviews are so consistently excellent. Here are 5 main reasons to choose Himalayan Masters: 1. Integrity and honesty - if, like me, you are travelling to a new country for a not inexpensive tour and are perhaps even doing it solo, the #1 concern on your mind is probably whether you are dealing with a legitimate and honest party. You definitely are in this case. At every turn they have acted in my best interests even when it was probably at an additional cost to them 2. Client centricity - these guys are clearly very passionate about what they do. Every little detail of the trip was executed in a way that would optimise my experience. From the airport pick up, to the hiking experience, etc. For example, Sandip insisted on arranging my drop off to KTM airport even though I was staying in Kathmandu for several days beyond the trek. Another example - when there was something minor I didn’t like about one of my tea house rooms, Himesh immediately got me moved to another room that he felt would suit me better - without any question 3. Cost - Sandip and Himesh did not cut any corners at all with costs. They put me up in the best teahouses along the trek. They arranged for me to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla by helicopter instead of having to drive 4h to Ramechap for a flight to Lukla, which is what other hikers had to do at the time. This helicopter ride wasn’t part of my package and probably came at additional cost to them, but at no additional cost to me. They also gave/lent me a lot of important gear for free - t shirt, cap, down jacket, trekking poles, water bottle, water purification tablets, crampons, sleeping bag, etc. All of these make their already competitive pricing even more worth it 4. Skill and experience - their guides and porters are very good at what they do and will look after you, very well. They will be your best friends on the trek. Himesh was an absolute legend; the hike wouldn’t have been the same without him. He looked after me very well and made the entire trip more enjoyable thanks to his deep knowledge and engaging personality 5. Miscellaneous benefits of having a well connected tour operator - for example, getting me onto a helicopter/plane when other hikers were unable to get onto one themselves! It was truly an amazing experience with Himalayan Masters and I’ll definitely be referring family and friends to them for future Nepal trips. I should add that at the start of my hike, I encountered a couple of trekkers who had just finished their tour with Himalayan masters and gave me pretty much the same feedback as above.
Trek of a lifetime We booked to do the Manaslu circuit as a couple and found Himalayan Masters via a very complimentary blog post. We were looking for a professional, experienced and flexible company at a reasonable cost and Himalayan Masters ticked all those boxes and more! Himalayan masters went above and beyond to help us sort travel logistics, airport pick ups and bag drop offs and we had full faith in the team looking afterwards. Our guide, Chandra, was very knowledgeable about the region and helped us to learn some basic language and teaching us about the fascinating culture of the areas we were hiking through. Chandra was incredibly attentive when my partner became poorly with a stomach bug en route and had some medications on hand to help aid a speedy recovery. We opted for a porter to help carry some of our gear which I would highly recommend. Our wonderful porter (Dinesh) was great to have around as part of our group and he went above and beyond to reserve us the best spaces at tea houses before we arrived each day. The scenery on the Manaslu circuit is truly breathtaking (in every sense of the word) and Himalayan masters helped us experience it with ease and safety. We would highly recommend!
Amazing experience on the Manaslu Circuit trek I heard about Himalayan Masters through a travel blog post that I read while researching the Manaslu Circuit trek. From the moment I walked into their office in Thamel and met Raj and Sandip I felt it was a very professional company. Sandip gave me a great walkthrough of the trek and made sure I was prepared with all the gear I needed, including providing me with a sleeping bag, trekking poles, water purification tablets, and crampons (at no additional cost, this was all included in the package, plus extra goodies like a cool hat, T-shirt, and duffel bag). My trekking experience was fantastic. I had Surje Lama as my guide. Surje was an excellent guide, he was very kind and knowledgeable and has a lot of experience guiding along the Manaslu Circuit trek, this was his fifth time guiding along the Manaslu Circuit trek already that season. When we reached a new village at the end of each day, it was a seamless process, with Surje arranging my room instantly, and all I had to do was walk to my room, where I could immediately unload my gear, rest and relax. Surje does not smoke or drink, and kindly prepared a fresh fruit salad for me after each dinner. We did a health check before dinner each evening, and then Surje briefed me on the plan for the next day. I had difficulty acclimating to the high altitude once we reached Samagaun, and then again in Samdo. I made the decision to turn back from Samdo, not wanting to push things too far. I had the support of Surje and also a phone call with Sandip who went over my options with me, I'm thankful for their support and feel that I made the best decision. Despite not reaching the Larke Pass and completing the full trek, I still had an amazing experience. The views are stunning throughout the whole trek, I was constantly in awe of the beauty and power of the Himalayas! Seeing the wildlife and visiting all of the unique and interesting villages was also super cool. I highly recommend Himalayan Masters Adventure and Travel Company for your trekking experience in Nepal!
What an adventure!! Back in March we have done 23 day hike: Tsum valley and Manaslu circuit with the best guide ever, Deepak Acharya. It was great to discover all the region with him as he knows it very well! Especially the hike to Ganesh Himal basecamp. Wow !! Went on the ABC trek with this company. Sandip has great english and is very flexible with the itinerary. They provide good service, experienced guides, and the price is very reasonable and even competitive in the market, definitely not overpriced. There are too many trekking companies in Nepal, if you're overwhelmed already, give Himalayan Master a try.
This company exceeded my expectations! Once arrived in Kathmandu I met with Sandip the owner of the company who planned a perfect customised trip for me. First the Manaslu circuit lead by guide Rishi, who is a entertaining guy with a lot of knowledge about the area. Second trip to EBC with guide Bashu who did an amazing job leading us to basecamp. Nothing is to much for these guys so I highly reccomend!
